A Review of Indocyanine Green Fluorescent Imaging in Surgery
Tập 2012 - Trang 1-26 - 2012
Jarmo T. Alander, Ilkka Kaartinen, Aki Laakso, Tommi Pätilä, Thomas Spillmann, Valery V. Tuchin, Maarit Venermo, Petri Välisuo
The purpose of this paper is to give an overview of the recent surgical intraoperational applications of indocyanine green fluorescence imaging methods, the basics of the technology, and instrumentation used. Well over 200 papers describing this technique in clinical setting are reviewed. In addition to the surgical applications, other recent medical applications of ICG are briefly examined.
Fast Random Permutation Tests Enable Objective Evaluation of Methods for Single-Subject fMRI Analysis
Tập 2011 - Trang 1-15 - 2011
Anders Eklund, Mats Andersson, Hans Knutsson
Parametric statistical methods, such asZ-,t-, andF-values, are traditionally employed in functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) for identifying areas in the brain that are active with a certain degree of statistical significance. These parametric methods, however, have two major drawbacks. First, it is assumed that the observed data are Gaussian distributed and independent; assumptions that ... hiện toàn bộ
Accurate Coregistration between Ultra‐High‐Resolution Micro‐SPECT and Circular Cone‐Beam Micro‐CT Scanners
Tập 2010 Số 1 - 2010
Changguo Ji, Frans van der Have, Hugo Gratama van Andel, Ruud M. Ramakers, Freek J. Beekman
Introduction. Spatially registering SPECT with CT makes it possible to anatomically localize SPECT tracers. In this study, an accurate method for the coregistration of ultra‐high‐resolution SPECT volumes and multiple cone‐beam CT volumes is developed and validated, which does not require markers during animal scanning. Methods. Transferable animal beds were developed with an accurate mounting inte... hiện toàn bộ
Ventricle Boundary in CT: Partial Volume Effect and Local Thresholds

We present a mathematical frame to carry out segmentation of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) of ventricular region in computed tomography (CT) images in the presence of partial volume effect (PVE). First, the image histogram is fitted using the Gaussian mixture model (GMM). Analyzing the GMM, we find global threshold based on parameters of distributions for CSF, and for the combined white and grey matte... hiện toàn bộ
