A new class of superoscillatory functions based on a generalized polar coordinate systemQuantum Studies: Mathematics and Foundations - Tập 7 - Trang 307-313 - 2020
Yakir Aharonov, Tomer Shushi
Is it possible for a band-limited signal to possess oscillation that is arbitrarily higher than its highest Fourier component? Common knowledge assumed that the answer is ‘No.’ Counterintuitively, it turns out that there are band-limited functions that are able to oscillate arbitrarily faster than their fastest Fourier components. These are the superoscillatory functions. Since their discovery, su...... hiện toàn bộ
The notion of a random gauge and its interpretationQuantum Studies: Mathematics and Foundations - Tập 1 - Trang 147-154 - 2014
John E. Gray
We introduce the concept of a random gauge. We propose two distinct types of random gauge that can be defined based on the concept of phase noise in scattering theory. In the context of quantum physics, we discuss a variety of possible realizations of this concept that can be connected to various Aharonov-other effects and make some connections with relativity as well.
The generalized Heisenberg group arising from Weyl relationsQuantum Studies: Mathematics and Foundations - Tập 2 - Trang 449-466 - 2015
Habib Rebei
In this paper, we introduce the generalized Weyl operators canonically associated with the one-mode oscillator Lie algebra as unitary operators acting on the bosonic Fock space
$$\Gamma ({\mathbb {C}})$$
. Next, we establish the generalized Weyl r...... hiện toàn bộ
Quantum cryptography based on an algorithm for determining simultaneously all the mappings of a Boolean functionQuantum Studies: Mathematics and Foundations - - 2023
Koji Nagata, Renata Wong, Do Ngoc Diep, Tadao Nakamura
We study a quantum cryptography based on an algorithm for determining simultaneously all the mappings of a Boolean function using an entangled state. The security of our cryptography is based on the Ekert 1991 protocol, which uses an entangled state. Eavesdropping destroys the entanglement. Alice selects a secret function from the number of possible function types. Bob’s aim is then to determine t...... hiện toàn bộ
Are interacting systems norm asymptotic abelian?Quantum Studies: Mathematics and Foundations - Tập 2 - Trang 417-433 - 2015
Heide Narnhofer
We consider infinite Fermi systems for which time evolution is defined as automorphism group. Under appropriate assumptions quasifree evolutions are norm asymptotic abelian on the even subalgebra. If interaction is added in the ground state strong asymptotic abelianess is preserved. In the tracial state, however, it is argued that for appropriate interacting systems even strong asymptotic abeliane...... hiện toàn bộ
The Rabi model gives off a flavor of spontaneous SUSY breakingQuantum Studies: Mathematics and Foundations - Tập 2 - Trang 379-388 - 2015
Masao Hirokawa
In this paper, we handle a two-level atom and a one-mode light primarily in SUSY state, and point out that an interaction between them brings them on a path to spontaneous SUSY breaking. That is, we prove that the Rabi model describing a qubit coupled with a one-mode light in a cavity takes the
