Obliquely Propagating Electron Acoustic Shock Waves in Magnetized Plasma
Brazilian Journal of Physics - Tập 48 - Trang 597-603 - 2018
Sona Bansal, Munish Aggarwal, Tarsem Singh Gill
Obliquely propagating electron acoustic shock waves in plasma with stationary ions, cold and superthermal hot electrons are investigated in magnetized plasma. Employing reductive perturbation method, Korteweg-de Vries-Burgers equation (KdVB) is derived in the small amplitude approximation limit. The analytical and numerical calculations of the KdVB equation show the variation of shock waves struct...... hiện toàn bộ
Fisher Information on the Phase Transition from Regular to Flat Top Optical Pulse in Cubic-Quintic Nonlinear Media
Brazilian Journal of Physics - Tập 54 - Trang 1-5 - 2023
Bijan Layek, Sk. Siddik, Golam Ali Sekh
We study the properties of optical pulses in cubic-quintic nonlinear media using Fisher information. The nonlinear media can support regular (sharp top) and flat top pulses depending on the type of quintic nonlinearity and the frequency of the pulse. For defocusing quintic nonlinearity, it holds both regular and flat top solitons. We find that the Fisher information suddenly drops near the transit...... hiện toàn bộ

Evaluation of Static and Dynamic Yield Stress for Isotropic and Anisotropic Particle–Based MR Fluids: Modeling and Analysis
Brazilian Journal of Physics - Tập 50 - Trang 399-409 - 2020
Mujiba Pisuwala, Ramesh V Upadhyay, Kinnari Parekh
Structural deformation in the low shear rate region that is an undeformed state is investigated for the isotropic and anisotropic magnetic particle–based magnetorheological (MR) fluid. Flow curves were obtained for both MR fluids between 0.1 s−1 and 500 s−1 in the absence and in the presence of magnetic fields. A model to describe the flow behavior over the full shear rate study is proposed. The p...... hiện toàn bộ
The Schrödinger Equation, the Zero-Point Electromagnetic Radiation, and the Photoelectric Effect
Brazilian Journal of Physics - Tập 46 - Trang 184-191 - 2016
H. M. França, A. Kamimura, G. A. Barreto
A Schrödinger type equation for a mathematical probability amplitude Ψ(x,t) is derived from the generalized phase space Liouville equation valid for the motion of a microscopic particle, with mass M and charge e, moving in a potential V(x). The particle phase space probability density is denoted Q(x,p,t), and the entire system is immersed in the “vacuum” zero-point electromagnetic radiation. We sh...... hiện toàn bộ

Transformation Process of the Magnetron-Sputtered Ag2O Film in Hydrogen Annealing
Brazilian Journal of Physics - Tập 44 - Trang 39-44 - 2013
Xiao-Yong Gao, Meng-Ke Zhao, Hong-Tao Liu, Sa Zhang
The current paper addresses the effect of the hydrogen partial pressure on the microstructure and transformation of the Ag2O film. The transformation process and mechanism were also analyzed in detail. Increasing the hydrogen partial pressure can accelerate the transformation of Ag2O to Ag and lower the critical transformation temperature of the film due to the enhanced hydrogen reduction and to b...... hiện toàn bộ
Effects of Interplanetary Shock Inclinations on Nightside Auroral Power Intensity

We derive fast forward interplanetary (IP) shock speeds and impact angles to study the geoeffectiveness of 461 IP shocks that occurred from January 1995 to December 2013 using ACE and Wind spacecraft data. The geomagnetic activity is inferred from the SuperMAG project data. SuperMAG is a large chain which employs more than 300 ground stations to compute enhanced versions of the traditional geomagn...... hiện toàn bộ
Protecting Quantum Correlation from Correlated Amplitude Damping Channel
Brazilian Journal of Physics - Tập 47 - Trang 400-405 - 2017
Zhiming Huang, Cai Zhang
In this work, we investigate the dynamics of quantum correlation measured by measurement-induced nonlocality (MIN) and local quantum uncertainty (LQU) in correlated amplitude damping (CAD) channel. We find that the memory parameter brings different influences on MIN and LQU. In addition, we propose a scheme to protect quantum correlation by executing prior weak measurement (WM) and post-measuremen...... hiện toàn bộ
