Obliquely Propagating Electron Acoustic Shock Waves in Magnetized Plasma
Brazilian Journal of Physics - Tập 48 - Trang 597-603 - 2018
Sona Bansal, Munish Aggarwal, Tarsem Singh Gill
Obliquely propagating electron acoustic shock waves in plasma with stationary ions, cold and superthermal hot electrons are investigated in magnetized plasma. Employing reductive perturbation method, Korteweg-de Vries-Burgers equation (KdVB) is derived in the small amplitude approximation limit. The analytical and numerical calculations of the KdVB equation show the variation of shock waves struct...... hiện toàn bộ
Fisher Information on the Phase Transition from Regular to Flat Top Optical Pulse in Cubic-Quintic Nonlinear Media
Brazilian Journal of Physics - Tập 54 - Trang 1-5 - 2023
Bijan Layek, Sk. Siddik, Golam Ali Sekh
We study the properties of optical pulses in cubic-quintic nonlinear media using Fisher information. The nonlinear media can support regular (sharp top) and flat top pulses depending on the type of quintic nonlinearity and the frequency of the pulse. For defocusing quintic nonlinearity, it holds both regular and flat top solitons. We find that the Fisher information suddenly drops near the transit...... hiện toàn bộ

Time Periodicity and Dynamical Stability in Two-Boson Systems
Brazilian Journal of Physics - Tập 43 - Trang 5-12 - 2013
Jose Reslen
We calculate the period of recurrence of dynamical systems comprising two interacting bosons. A number of theoretical issues related to this problem are discussed, in particular, the conditions for small periodicity. The knowledge gathered in this way is then used to propose a notion of dynamical stability based on the stability of the period. Dynamical simulations show good agreement with the pro...... hiện toàn bộ
Electronic Structures and f-d Orbital Hybridization of a Heavy Fermion YbNiGa
Brazilian Journal of Physics - Tập 50 - Trang 35-38 - 2019
T. Jeong
The electromagnetic and thermal properties of a heavy fermion YbNiGa are investigated using first-principle methods with local density approximation (LDA) and LDA+U approaches. The Yb f-bands are located near the Fermi energy and hybridized with the Ni-3d states. This hybridization plays important roles to make characteristics of this material. Band calculation with the LDA framework does not matc...... hiện toàn bộ

Quantum Speed Limit Time of Topological Qubits Influenced by the Fermionic and Bosonic Environments
Brazilian Journal of Physics - Tập 52 - Trang 1-6 - 2022

Quantum theory sets a bound on the minimum time required to transform from an initial state to a target state. The bound is known as quantum speed limit time. Quantum speed limit time can be used to determine the rate of quantum evolution for closed and open quantum systems. In the real world, we are dealing with open quantum systems. So, the study of quantum speed limit time for open quantum syst...... hiện toàn bộ

Evaluation of Static and Dynamic Yield Stress for Isotropic and Anisotropic Particle–Based MR Fluids: Modeling and Analysis
Brazilian Journal of Physics - Tập 50 - Trang 399-409 - 2020
Mujiba Pisuwala, Ramesh V Upadhyay, Kinnari Parekh
Structural deformation in the low shear rate region that is an undeformed state is investigated for the isotropic and anisotropic magnetic particle–based magnetorheological (MR) fluid. Flow curves were obtained for both MR fluids between 0.1 s−1 and 500 s−1 in the absence and in the presence of magnetic fields. A model to describe the flow behavior over the full shear rate study is proposed. The p...... hiện toàn bộ

Chaotic transport is a subject of paramount importance in a variety of problems in plasma physics, specially those related to anomalous transport and turbulence. On the other hand, a great deal of information on chaotic transport can be obtained from simple dynamical systems like two-dimensional area-preserving (symplectic) maps, where powerful mathematical results like KAM theory are available. I...... hiện toàn bộ
