Common Fixed Point Theorems for Weakly Compatible Pairs on Cone Metric Spaces
Gerald Jungck, Stojan Radenović, Slobodan Radojević, Vladimir Rakočević
AbstractWe prove several fixed point theorems on cone metric spaces in which the cone does not need to be normal. These theorems generalize the recent results of Huang and Zhang (2007), Abbas and Jungck (2008), and Vetro (2007). Furthermore as corollaries, we obtain recent results of Rezapour and Hamlborani (2008).
Common Fixed Point Results in Metric-Type Spaces
Mirko S. Jovanović, Zoran Kadelburg, Stojan Radenović
AbstractSeveral fixed point and common fixed point theorems are obtained in the setting of metric-type spaces introduced by M. A. Khamsi in 2010.
On a soft mapping and its fixed points
Tập 2013 - Trang 1-11 - 2013
Dariusz Wardowski
In the article first we introduce a new notion of soft element of a soft set and establish its natural relation with soft operations and soft objects in soft topological spaces. Next, using the notion of soft element, we define, in a different way than in the literature, a soft mapping transforming a soft set into a soft set and provide basic properties of such mappings. The new approach to soft m...... hiện toàn bộ
Remarks on Cone Metric Spaces and Fixed Point Theorems of Contractive Mappings
Mohamed A. Khamsi
AbstractWe discuss the newly introduced concept of cone metric spaces. We also discuss the fixed point existence results of contractive mappings defined on such metric spaces. In particular, we show that most of the new results are merely copies of the classical ones.
A generalized metric space and related fixed point theorems
Mohamed Jleli, Bessem Samet
AbstractWe introduce a new concept of generalized metric spaces for which we extend some well-known fixed point results including Banach contraction principle, Ćirić’s fixed point theorem, a fixed point result due to Ran and Reurings, and a fixed point result due to Nieto and Rodríguez-López. This new concept of generalized metric spaces recover various topological...... hiện toàn bộ
Approximating fixed points of total asymptotically nonexpansive mappings
Ya. I. Alber, C. E. Chidume, Habtu Zegeye
AbstractWe introduce a new class of asymptotically nonexpansive mappings and study approximating methods for finding their fixed points. We deal with the Krasnosel'skii-Mann-type iterative process. The strong and weak convergence results for self-mappings in normed spaces are presented. We also consider the asymptotically weakly contractive mappings.
Fixed Point Theorems in Cone Banach Spaces

Erdal Karapınar
AbstractIn this manuscript, a class of self-mappings on cone Banach spaces which have at least one fixed point is considered. More precisely, for a closed and convex subset "Equation missing" of a cone Banach space with the norm "Equation missing", if there exist "Equation missing"
A Common Fixed Point Theorem in "Equation missing" -Metric Spaces
Shaban Sedghi, Nabi Shobe, Haiyun Zhou
AbstractWe give some new definitions of "Equation missing"-metric spaces and we prove a common fixed point theorem for a class of mappings under the condition of weakly commuting mappings in complete "Equation missing"-metric spaces. We get some improved versions of several fixed point th...
Strong convergence of a self-adaptive method for the split feasibility problem
Tập 2013 Số 1 - 2013
Yonghong Yao, Mihai Postolache, Yeong-Cheng Liou
Abstract Self-adaptive methods which permit step-sizes being selected self-adaptively are effective methods for solving some important problems, e.g., variational inequality problems. We devote this paper to developing and improving the self-adaptive methods for solving the split feasibility problem. A new improved self-adaptive...... hiện toàn bộ
