This work reports the inherent peroxidase-like properties of Ruthenium (Ru) nanoframes. After templating with Palladium (Pd) seeds, Ru nanoframes with an octahedral shape, average edge length of 6.2 nm, and thickness of 1.8 nm were synthesized in high purity (>95 %) and good uniformity. Using the oxidation of 3,3′,5,5′-tetramethylbenzidine (TMB) by H2O2 as a model catalytic reaction, the Ru frames...... hiện toàn bộ
Altered expression of microRNAs in the response to ER stressScience Bulletin - Tập 60 - Trang 202-209 - 2015

MicroRNAs, a class of small noncoding RNAs, play key roles in diverse biological and pathological processes. ER stress, resulting from the accumulation of unfolded or misfolded proteins in the ER lumen, is triggered by various physiological events and pathological insults. Here, using RNA deep sequencing analysis, we found that the expression of some microRNAs was altered in HeLa and HEK293 cells ...... hiện toàn bộ
Preparation of sound ribbons with submicrometer-grained microstructure on a Mg–Zn alloyScience Bulletin - Tập 60 - Trang 570-573 - 2015

In this paper, a viable way to fabricate Mg alloy sound ribbons with ultra-fine-grained microstructure was presented. The hot-rolled and annealed Mg–0.4Zn (at%) alloy exhibited excellent rollability to form sound ribbons with submicrometer grains when subjected to one-pass cold rolling process. The more balanced multi-mode dislocation slips originated from the significant decrease of critical reso...... hiện toàn bộ
You are never alone: crosstalk among epigenetic playersScience Bulletin - Tập 60 - Trang 899-904 - 2015
Cheng-Zhi Wang, Bing Zhu
Different cell types in a certain organism contain the same genome while running diverse transcription programs. This is controlled by epigenetic information, including DNA modifications, histone modifications, histone variants, non-coding RNAs, and chromatin architectures. Interestingly, recent progresses revealed extensive crosstalks among these epigenetic players. We discuss here how epigenetic...... hiện toàn bộ
