Transient Taylor–Dean flow in a composite annulus with porous walls partially filled with porous material
Journal of the Egyptian Mathematical Society - - 2022
Basant K. Jha, Taiwo S. Yusuf
AbstractThe sole aim of this article is to examine the relative contribution of suction/injection parameter on Taylor–Dean flow in a composite annular gap partially filled with porous material. In the present setup, the Newtonian fluid flow is induced by the circumferential motion of both cylinders and pressure gradient imposed in the Azimuthal direction. The mathe...... hiện toàn bộ
Nanofluids flow over a permeable unsteady stretching surface with non-uniform heat source/sink in the presence of inclined magnetic field
Journal of the Egyptian Mathematical Society - Tập 27 - Trang 1-26 - 2019
N. S. Elgazery
This work analyzes the unsteady two-dimensional nanofluid flow over a vertical stretching permeable surface in the presence of an inclined magnetic field and non-uniform heat source/sink. Four different types of nanoparticles, namely silver Ag, copper Cu, alumina Al2O3, and titania TiO2, are considered by using water as a base fluid with the Prandtl number Pr = 6.785. The governing partial differe...... hiện toàn bộ
Reduction based on similarity and decision-making
Journal of the Egyptian Mathematical Society - Tập 28 - Trang 1-12 - 2020
Abd El Fattah A. El Atik
Reduction of attributes in an information system (IS) is a basic step for IS analysis. The original rough set model of Pawlak depends on an equivalence relation which is strongly constraints. This paper aims to use similarity classes and similarity degrees to obtain a reduction of IS and indicate an approach by using an example from biochemistry to get a quantitative structure activity relationshi...... hiện toàn bộ
Mathematical modelling of the COVID-19 pandemic with demographic effects
Journal of the Egyptian Mathematical Society - Tập 29 - Trang 1-13 - 2021
Abdul A. Kamara, Lagès N. Mouanguissa, Godfrey Okumu Barasa
In this paper, a latent infection susceptible–exposed–infectious–recovered model with demographic effects is used to understand the dynamics of the COVID-19 pandemics. We calculate the basic reproduction number ( $${R}_{0}$$ ) by solving the differential equations of the model and also using next-ge...... hiện toàn bộ
Bivariate general exponential models with stress-strength reliability application
Journal of the Egyptian Mathematical Society - Tập 28 - Trang 1-15 - 2020
S. K. khames, N. A. Mokhlis
In this paper, we introduce two families of general bivariate distributions. We refer to these families as general bivariate exponential family and general bivariate inverse exponential family. Many bivariate distributions in the literature are members of the proposed families. Some properties of the proposed families are discussed, as well as a characterization associated with the stress-strength...... hiện toàn bộ
Analytical bifurcation behaviors of a host–parasitoid model with Holling type III functional response
Journal of the Egyptian Mathematical Society - Tập 31 - Trang 1-22 - 2023
Ahmed M. Yousef, Saad Z. Rida, Soheir Arafat
This topic presents a study on a host–parasitoid model with a Holling type III functional response. In population dynamics, when host density rises, the parasitoid response initially accelerates due to the parasitoid’s improved searching efficiency. However, above a certain density threshold, the parasitoid response will reach a saturation level due to the influence of reducing the handling time. ...... hiện toàn bộ
A special class of regular connections in Finsler geometry
Journal of the Egyptian Mathematical Society - Tập 27 - Trang 1-8 - 2019
A. Soleiman
In this paper, we investigate intrinsically a special class of regular Finsler connections in the pullback formalism. Such connections are called P1-connections. Important result concerning the nonlinear connection of these connections is obtained. Some examples of P1-connections are given. One of these examples is investigated with some details.
The periodic rotary motions of a rigid body in a new domain of angular velocity
Journal of the Egyptian Mathematical Society - Tập 29 Số 1 - 2021
A. I. Ismail
AbstractIn the previous works, the limiting case for the motion of a rigid body about a fixed point in a Newtonian force field, which comes from a gravity center lies on Z-axis, is solved. The authors apply the small parameter technique which is achieved giving the body a sufficiently large angular velocity component r... hiện toàn bộ
Dynamics and chaos control in a discrete-time ratio-dependent Holling-Tanner model
Journal of the Egyptian Mathematical Society - Tập 27 - Trang 1-16 - 2019
Sarker Md. Sohel Rana
A discrete-time Holling-Tanner model with ratio-dependent functional response is examined. We show that the system experiences a flip bifurcation and Neimark-Sacker bifurcation or both together at positive fixed point in the interior of $\mathbb {R}^{2}_{+}$ when one of the model parameter crosses its threshold value. We concentrate our attention to determine the existence conditions and direction...... hiện toàn bộ
Retraction Note: On projection-invariant submodules of QTAG-modules
Journal of the Egyptian Mathematical Society - Tập 27 - Trang 1-1 - 2019
Fahad Sikander, Alveera Mehdi, Sabah A. R. K. Naji
The Editor-in-Chief has retracted this article [1] because the results have been previously published by Danchev and Goldsmith [2]. This article is therefore redundant. Fahad Sikander does not agree to this retraction. Alveera Mehdi and Sabah A.R.K. Naji have not responded to correspondence from the Publisher about this retraction.
