C-Arm Multi-Axis Rotation Stereotactic Linac Radiosurgery System Tập 3 - Trang 21-27 - 2000
Norihiko Tamaki, Kazumasa Ehara, Katsuzo Fujita
We developed a C-arm multi-axis, stereotactic linear accelerator radiosurgical
system combined with 3-dimensional (3D) dose planning software. The linac beam
generator is mounted on a C-arm frame that allows rotation parallel and diagonal
to the patient table. As a result of the new structural design, the positional
deviation of the beam from mechanical isocenter during rotation of the gantry is

Score Index for Stereotactic Radiosurgery of Brain Metastases - 1998
Eduardo Weltman, João Victor Salvajoli, Vinio Cintra e Oliveira, Reynaldo André Brandt, José Carlos da Cruz, Sandra Regina de Oliveira Borges, Rosana Toledo Rodrigues Anselmo, Dália Ballas Wajsbrot
A reliable prognostic score for cancer patients with brain metastases submitting
to stereotactic radiosurgery (SR) was established. Between July 1993 and
December 1995, 34 cancer patients (36 treatments and 69 lesions) with brain
metastases were treated with SR at the Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein of São
Paulo, Brazil. The exclusion criteria were: more than 5 lesions, any lesion
larger than 3... hiện toàn bộ
Considerations of Fractionated Stereotactic Radiotherapy in Patients with Dentures Tập 2 - Trang 89-93 - 1999
H. Ashamalla, P. Ross, N. C. Ikoro
Stereotactic radiotherapy (SRT) using the Gill–Thomas–Cosman (GTC) repeat
localizer allows for accurate and reproducible daily setup. The formation of a
custom dental plate presents a challenge. We present the problems of utilizing
this technique in patients with dentures. Twenty-seven patients were referred
for fractionated SRT:15 patients had natural teeth and 12 patients had dentures.

Geometrical Accuracy Test Obtained on the OUR Rotating γ-System - 1999
György T. Szeifert
In 1996, a new γ-ray brain surgical apparatus, the OUR rotating γ-system (RGS),
was developed for stereotactic radiosurgery. The device contains 30 cobalt-60
sources distributed in 5 groups along 6 helical lines in a hemispherical primary
collimator body, which rotates during treatment together with the built-in
secondary collimator body. By rotating the primary and secondary collimator body
toget... hiện toàn bộ
Stereotactic Radiosurgery of a Patient with Severe Kyphosis Tập 1 - Trang 129-132 - 1998
Donald A. Ross, Howard M. Sandler, James M. Balter, David Hornick
A patient with a severe kyphotic deformity presented for stereotactic
radiosurgery. In the supine position with the apex of the patient's kyphosis on
the treatment couch, his head and buttocks were found to be approximately 30 cm
from the table. Pretreatment consultation with the physicist and engineer was
arranged. By creating a modified table mount for the head ring and a
custom-molded Styrofoam... hiện toàn bộ
Cavernous Hemangioma After Stereotactic Radiotherapy Tập 2 - Trang 195-198 - 1999
Marc-André Brassard, Jean-Paul Bahary, Richard Leblanc, Pierre Bourgouin, France Berthelet, Jean Guy Villemure
Vascular changes after radiotherapy of the central nervous system are well
known. Recently, pro-liferative vascular lesions have been reported. We present
the case of an 18-year-old male who developed a cavernous hemangioma 5 years
after radiotherapy for a low-grade glioma at the same site in the brain. Short
review of the literature and hypothesis follow the case presentation.
