Presently there has been an enormous increase in demand for novel materials to
produce complex products with better quality. Hence, plant fibres shall be used
to achieve this goal. Hybrid natural fibre composites, can fulfil these
requirements. This paper deals with the fabrication and investigation of
mechanical properties of hybrid natural fibre composite (banana jute glass
fibre) and compares i... hiện toàn bộ
Trichromatic Dyeing of Polyimide Fiber Using Its Inherent Color as a Yellow ComponentFibers and Polymers - Tập 21 - Trang 1783-1789 - 2020
Dongyan Shao, Changhai Xu, Jinmei Du, Hongbo Wang
Polyimide (PI) fiber is one kind of high-performance fibers with outstanding
thermal stability, mechanical properties, and chemical resistance, but it is
difficult to be dyed due to its tightly packed macromolecules and lack of
functional groups for dyeing. Especially, the inherent yellow shade of PI fiber
limits the color gamut that can be matched by trichromatic dyeing. In this
study, it is prop... hiện toàn bộ
Surface modification of silk fibroin nanofibrous mat with dextran for wound dressingFibers and Polymers - Tập 15 - Trang 1137-1145 - 2014

In this study, we examined the effects of a dextran-modified silk fibroin
nanofibrous mat (D-SFNM) on wound healing. To increase the hydrophilicity of
silk fibroin (SF), the SF nanofibrous mat (SFNM) was modified with oxidized
dextran. The D-SFNM absorbed water faster than the SFNM, and the swelling ratio
was increased by approximately 80 % compared with the SFNM. An in vitro cell
(NIH3T3) test re... hiện toàn bộ
Reactivity and stability of C.I. Reactive Red 120 at high temperatureFibers and Polymers - Tập 15 - Trang 2515-2524 - 2015

Reactivity and stability of a bis(monochloro-s-triazine) reactive dye (C.I.
Reactive Red 120) between 90 and 130 °C at various pH values were studied using
HPLC. The obtained rate constants for the hydrolysis of the dye show that the
reactivity in the range of 100 °C to 130 °C and at pH values lower than 10.0 is
close to the reactivity at 90 °C and pH 11.0, indicating that severe hydrolysis
of the... hiện toàn bộ
Hybrid multi-scale basalt fiber-epoxy composite laminate reinforced with Electrospun polyurethane nanofibers containing carbon nanotubesFibers and Polymers - Tập 15 - Trang 1295-1302 - 2014

In this study, we report the fabrication and evaluation of a hybrid multi-scale
basalt fiber/epoxy composite laminate reinforced with layers of electrospun
carbon nanotube/polyurethane (CNT/PU) nanofibers. Electrospun polyurethane mats
containing 1, 3 and 5 wt% carbon nanotubes (CNTs) were interleaved between
layers of basalt fibers laminated with epoxy through vacuum-assisted resin

Halochromic chemosensor prepared by pyran-based nanofibersFibers and Polymers - Tập 14 - Trang 1981-1984 - 2014
Sung-Hoon Kim, Jin-Seok Bae
Colorimetric chemosensors can easily detect and prevent the primary danger or
change of the surrounding environmental pollutions and sources of infection in
the various fields. Pyran based colorant having the function of colorimetric
chemosensor was synthesized. Synthesized colorant was characterized by 1H NMR,
GC-Mass, EA and UV-vis spectroscopy and then mixed with polyacrylonitrile for
electrosp... hiện toàn bộ
Isotherm and Kinetic Studies in Dyeing of Citric Acid-Crosslinked Cotton with Cationic Natural DyeFibers and Polymers - Tập 21 - Trang 2547-2555 - 2020

In this study, cotton fabric was crosslinked with citric acid (CA) in the
presence of sodium hypophosphite using a pad-dry-cure process under the optimum
conditions. The chemistry and morphology of the crosslinked fibers were studied
and compared with the untreated fibers using FTIR and SEM. The crosslinked
fabric was dyed with the natural cationic dye, berberine, obtained from the
roots of Berber... hiện toàn bộ
