Inheritance and microsporogenesis of a synaptic mutant (sy-2) from Solanum commersonii Dun.Canadian Science Publishing - Tập 28 Số 4 - Trang 520-524 - 1986
Stephen Albert Johnston, R. W. Ruhde, Mark K. Ehlenfeldt, R. E. Hanneman
A mutant has been found in diploid Solanum commersonii (2n = 2x = 24) in which
no bivalents are formed during microsporogenesis. This trait, a simply inherited
recessive, has been designated sy-2. It conditions high levels of pollen
sterility through random chromosome segregation at anaphase I. Only the
nucleolar-associated chromosomes appear to segregate non-randomly, possibly due
to the fusion o... hiện toàn bộ
COMPLEMENTARY GENIC COMPLEX FOR ANTHOCYANIN PIGMENTATION IN THE APICULUS OF RICE (ORYZA SATIV AL.)Canadian Science Publishing - Tập 15 Số 4 - Trang 779-789 - 1973
M. V. N. Setty, B. Misro
The C-A-P genie complex for anthocyanin pigmentation in the apiculus of japonica
rice has been recently found to be also applicable to indica rice. The present
investigation reveals a considerable difference in the nature and the number of
localization genes. Accordingly, the complementary genie complex for anthocyanin
pigmentation in the apiculus of both japonica and indica rices is C-A-PaPbor

INHERITANCE OF A SOYBEAN FLOWERING RESPONSE TO FLUORESCENT-DAYLENGTH CONDITIONSCanadian Science Publishing - Tập 13 Số 4 - Trang 703-707 - 1971
R. I. Buzzell
The inheritance of flowering time was studied in the short-day soybean, Glycine
max (L.) Merr., under long-day conditions in the greenhouse using natural day
length extended to 20 hours with cool-white fluorescent light. A single, major
gene with two alleles was found to control the flowering response. The dominant
allele which gave a fluorescent-sensitive response of delayed flowering also
result... hiện toàn bộ
Chromosome location of genes controlling aluminum tolerance in wheat, rye, and triticaleCanadian Science Publishing - Tập 26 Số 6 - Trang 701-705 - 1984
A. Anioł, J. P. Gustafson
'Chinese Spring' wheat nullisomic–tetrasomic and ditelosomic lines were used for
the identification of Aluminum-tolerance genes in wheat (Triticum aestivum L. em
Thell.). Rye additions and substitutions in different wheat varieties were used
for the identification of aluminum-tolerance genes in rye (Secale cereale L.).
The point where concentrations of aluminum caused irreversible damage to the

CHROMOSOMAL ANALYSIS OF 159 BOVINE EMBRYOS COLLECTED 12 to 18 DAYS AFTER ESTRUSCanadian Science Publishing - Tập 22 Số 4 - Trang 615-626 - 1980
W. C. D. Hare, Elizabeth L. Singh, K.J. Betteridge, M.D. Eaglesome, G.C.B. Randall, Daniel A. Mitchell, R. J. Bilton, Alan Trounson
One hundred and fifty-nine embryos were analysed in conjunction with embryo
transfer studies. Chromosome preparations were made from small biopsy fragments
of trophoblast, from large portions of trophoblast and the inner cell mass, or
from the entire embryo. Results obtained from fragments were similar to those
obtained from large portions of trophoblast and inner cell mass. No structural
chromoso... hiện toàn bộ
