High sensitivity 50 Hz-1 MHz probe for B and dB/dt Tập 1 - Trang 55-60 vol.1
P. Sergeant, A. Van den Bossche
An accurate broadband sensor for the analysis of magnetic induction B in the range 10 nT-5 mT is presented. Choosing appropriate amplifier circuits allows measurement of either B or dB/dt, in the frequency range 50 Hz-1 MHz, which makes it possible to detect very weak high-frequency fields with attenuation of the 50 Hz power frequency. The probe is also suitable for on-site measurements of common-...... hiện toàn bộ

A detailed test method for measuring radiated spurious emissions by signal substitution and the effect of relevant source parameters Tập 1 - Trang 509-514 vol.1
S. Jayashankar
This paper proposes a detailed test procedure for measurement of radiated spurious emissions (from a 3G Wireless Base Station) in a semi-anechoic chamber by means of 'signal substitution'. The proposed method may be adopted suitably for meeting the requirements of the FCC Rules Part 22 and 24 radiated spurious emissions requirements for licensed transmitters. This paper also quantifies the effect ...... hiện toàn bộ

Electrical impact of high-speed bus crossing plane split Tập 2 - Trang 861-865 vol.2
Juan Chen, Weimin Shi, A.J. Norman, P. Ilavarasan
The importance of providing a continuous return current path for high-speed signal design is well recognized. A signal bus crossing a plane split has negative impact on SI (signal integrity) and EMI (electromagnetic interference). This paper provides numerical and/or measurement analysis to quantify these effects in the PCB environment, such as waveform distortion, increased crosstalk levels, and ...... hiện toàn bộ

A time-domain approach to extract SPICE-compatible equivalent models for embedded interconnects Tập 2 - Trang 834-839 vol.2
Hsiao-Chen Chang, Chun-Chin Kuo, Tzong-Lin Wu
This paper proposes an efficient algorithm for extracting SPICE-compatible circuits of embedded interconnect structures from FDTD-simulated time-domain reflections. A layer-peeling technique (LPT) is first employed to de-embed the interconnect-under-extract (IUE) and obtain the time-domain response of the IUE itself. A general pencil of matrix method (GPOM) is then used to get the pole-residue rep...... hiện toàn bộ

Solving the power plane problem using finite difference frequency domain (FDFD), method of lines (MoL) and partial element equivalent circuit (PEEC) simulation technique Tập 2 - Trang 761-765 vol.2
V. Subramanian, O.M. Ramahi, B. Archambeault, M.I. Lai
This work presents a comparison of the different techniques used for accurate simulation of simultaneous switching noise. Three different techniques, finite difference frequency domain (FDFD), method of lines (MoL) and partial element equivalent circuit (PEEC) simulation, are compared. The results of these three techniques are presented and are validated by comparison to laboratory measurements. T...... hiện toàn bộ

CISPR 22 conducted common mode voltage measurements along a wire using a capacitive voltage probe Tập 1 - Trang 1-5 vol.1
B.L. Harlacher, R.W. Stewart
CISPR 22 (1997) defines the limits of conducted common mode emissions (disturbances) permitted from information technology equipment (ITE) over the frequency range of 150 kHz to 30 MHz. Of significant interest are conducted common mode emissions from telecommunications ports and cabling of the ITE that are used for the transmission of digital signals using unshielded twisted pair (UTP) cabling. Estimation on magnetic near field noise from PCB by FDTD implemented nonlinear switching transistor Tập 2 - Trang 727-732 vol.2
T. Kasuga, M. Tanaka, H. Inoue
The wideband electromagnetic noise radiated from PCB model driven by a switching device is one of the EMI problems. To estimate the noise radiation quantitatively, a switching transistor is modeled by the FDTD method by using Ebers-Moll equivalent circuit, and its parameter is determined by simple measurement. The magnetic near field noise is calculated by FDTD method implemented switching transis...... hiện toàn bộ

2-D approach to the analysis of semianechoic chambers using a hybrid technique Tập 1 - Trang 279-284 vol.1
L. Nuno, J.V. Balbastre, F.D. Quesada, A. Diaz
Semianechoic chambers are the most widely used emplacements for electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) tests. In this work a new and efficient technique for the analysis of 2-D simplified model of a chamber with arbitrary absorber is introduced and validated Some advanced results are presented, and a 2-D figure of merit for studying the overall behaviour of the chamber is proposed.

A pulse method for measuring the minimum shielding effectiveness of enclosures Tập 1 - Trang 377-382 vol.1
H.M. Kudyan
This paper reports a pulse technique for measuring the shielding effectiveness (SE) of enclosures, without the use of an anechoic chamber or an open area test site (OATS). Experimental results are presented and compared to those of the conventional frequency domain method using an anechoic chamber. The results obtained from the pulse method are in good agreement with those of the frequency domain ...... hiện toàn bộ

Investigating electromagnetic exposure of communication cables in reverberant chambers Tập 1 - Trang 233-237 vol.1
A.R. Coates, A.P. Duffy, K.G. Hodge, A.J. Willis
As distributed electronic systems become more complex, the electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) behaviour of the communication cables becomes more significant. Hence a range of test methods must be developed that will provide an adequate measure of the cable's interference susceptibility. One such method is the 'mode stirred reverberation chamber method', which offers a complementary technique to t...... hiện toàn bộ
