Thermal studies of soda glass metal nanocomposite synthesized by ion exchange
Springer Science and Business Media LLC - Tập 83 - Trang 1667-1670 - 2010

Soda glass metal nanocomposite having Ag nanoparticles has been synthesized by the combined use of ion exchange method and subsequent thermal annealing. Remarkable changes in photoluminescence and UV-Visible spectra of resulting nanocomposite as a function of post annealing temperature has been observed. These changes can be attributed to the structural rearrangement of silver during heat treatment. In UV-Visible spectra, characteristic surface plasmon resonance peak of silver nanoparticles has been observed around 430 nm. Photoluminescence spectra of the silver exchanged soda glass samples show a dominant peak at 547 nm. At an annealing temperature of 450°C photoluminescence intensity is the maximum followed by a decreasing trend upto 600°C.
Numerical investigation on magnetohydrodynamics flow of Casson fluid over a deformable porous layer with slip conditions

The present study makes a numerical assessment of magnetohydrodynamics stream of Casson liquid over a deformable porous layer with slip conditions. The governing ordinary differential equations are settled Runge–Kutta fourth-order method along with the shooting technique. The impact of relevant parameters on the liquid velocity, the solid displacement, the temperature and the concentration are shown graphically, while the mass stream rate is contemplated numerically shown in tabular structure. The present outcomes have been great concurrence with existing assessments under some exceptional cases. We can see that the liquid velocity and solid displacements are rotted for higher estimations of magnetic parameter and the contrary nature found for the impact of Casson parameter. The effect of slip boundary conditions on the fluid velocity, the temperature and the concentration is additionally inspected.

We present here the results of the calculations of photofield emission current by using the free electron model in which the appropriate wavefunctions are used. The transmission probability had been calculated by solving the Airy’s equation. The model developed is used to calculate photofield emission current from tungsten.
Effect of aging on the ionic conductivity of polyvinylidenefluoride–hexafluoropropylene (PVdF–HFP) membrane impregnated with different lithium salts
Springer Science and Business Media LLC - Tập 86 - Trang 341-344 - 2012
Vanchiappan Aravindan, Palanisamy Vickraman
The aging towards the ionic conductivity have been studied using of different lithium salts namely, lithium bis(oxalate)borate (LiBOB), lithium difluoro(oxalato)borate (LiDFOB), lithium fluoroalkylphosphate (LiFAP) and LiPF6 in polyvinylidenefluoride–hexafluoropropylene (PVdF–HFP) matrix. The crystallization behavior of LiBOB and LiDFOB has been noticed for the first time during storage of such membranes within the texture of PVdF–HFP matrix. At the same time, such behavior has not been observed in the case of LiFAP and LiPF6 based membranes. The growth of such crystallites would certainly hinder the mobility mechanism of Li+ ions and it has been confirmed by ionic conductivity measurements. The formation of such crystals has been validated through scanning electron microscopic studies.

The dynamics hysteresis loop and dielectric susceptibility characteristics of a ferroelectric heterostructure
Springer Science and Business Media LLC - Tập 93 - Trang 1445-1452 - 2019
Lian Cui, Zelong He, Jixin Che
The dynamic properties, including hysteresis loop and dielectric susceptibility, of a ferroelectric heterostructure composed by two different films have been discussed, by means of a Landau–Devonshire theory in combination with Landau–Khalatnikov dynamic equation. The surface transition layer within each component film and a ferroelectric coupling at the interface between two films are taken into account. A parameter is introduced to describe the differences of physical properties between two constituent films. The results show that if the ferroelectric interfacial coupling is large enough, the system will lead to the severe hysteresis phenomenon for hysteresis loop and four peaks of the curve for dielectric susceptibility versus the electric field.

The purpose of this manuscript is to investigate the unsteady magnetohydrodynamics flow of a Maxwell fluid with conjugate effects of heat and mass transfer under the slip and non-slip conditions at the boundary. Moreover, we apply the Caputo–Fabrizio fractional derivative to model the proposed problem. We consider the fluid in a porous medium over a vertical plate with ramped temperature. We take into consideration the influence of thermal radiation in the energy equations. We solve the governing equations by Laplace transform technique, and we use the Stehfest’s algorithm to find the inverse Laplace transform. Hence, we obtain the semianalytical solutions for temperature, concentration and velocity in case of ramped temperature as well as for both slip and non-slip conditions and general motion of the plate. We demonstrate the numerical results by some figures.
