Coupling-selective quantum optimal control in weak-coupling NV- $$^{13}$$ C systemSpringer Science and Business Media LLC - Tập 33 Số 1 - Trang 1-8 - 2023
Zhang, Feihao, Xing, Jian, Hu, Xiaoxiao, Pan, Xinyu, Long, Guilu
Quantum systems are under various unwanted interactions due to their coupling
with the environment. Efficient control of quantum system is essential for
quantum information processing. Weak-coupling interactions are ubiquitous, and
it is very difficult to suppress them using optimal control method, because the
control operation is at a time scale of the coherent life time of the system.

Collection of unconventional transport phenomena: natural obstacle or vibrant guiding principle for the design of molecular junctions?Springer Science and Business Media LLC - Tập 34 - Trang 1-8 - 2024
Jinlong Ren, Tianchen Li, Zhuang Li, Decheng Kong, Guangcun Shan, KunPeng Dou
The real atomic scale details of molecular junctions would be of much complexity
and can yield a plethora of “counterintuitive” results. Here, we provide an
overview of four unconventional intentional or unintentional transport phenomena
in molecular junctions, in particular, unconventional tunneling length-dependent
transport behavior, deviation from Kirchhoff’s superposition law, dual roles of

Cosmological gravitational waves from isocurvature fluctuationsSpringer Science and Business Media LLC - Tập 34 - Trang 1-22 - 2024
Guillem Domènech
Gravitational waves induced by large primordial curvature fluctuations may
result in a sizable stochastic gravitational wave background. Interestingly,
curvature fluctuations are gradually generated by initial isocurvature
fluctuations, which in turn induce gravitational waves. Initial isocurvature
fluctuations commonly appear in multi-field models of inflation as well as in
the formation of scatt... hiện toàn bộ
Status of the RAON project in KoreaSpringer Science and Business Media LLC -
B. Hong
AbstractA new rare-isotope beam (RIB) accelerator complex, RAON, is under
construction in South Korea. RAON employs two RIB production methods, namely,
isotope separation online (ISOL) and in-flight fragmentation (IF). According to
the original design, ISOL and IF can run independently, and RAON ultimately
combines them to provide more neutron-rich ion beams for the experiments. In
2021, due to th... hiện toàn bộ
Analysis of the triply heavy baryon states with the QCD sum rulesSpringer Science and Business Media LLC - Tập 31 - Trang 1-10 - 2021
Zhi-Gang Wang
In this article, we reexamine the mass spectrum of the ground state triply heavy
baryon states with the QCD sum rules by carrying out the operator product
expansion up to the vacuum condensates of dimension 6 in a consistent way and
preforming a novel analysis. It is for the first time to take into account the
three-gluon condensates in the QCD sum rules for the triply heavy baryon states.
Surface atomic-layer superconductors with Rashba/Zeeman-type spin-orbit couplingSpringer Science and Business Media LLC - Tập 31 - Trang 1-20 - 2021
Takashi Uchihashi
In this article, we review the recent progress in surface atomic-layer
superconductors on semiconductor substrates with Rashba/Zeeman-type spin-orbit
coupling (SOC). After introduction of some of the basics of Rashba/Zeeman-type
SOC and its effects on superconductivity, representative surface structures with
relevant features are described in terms of their crystalline and electronic
properties. T... hiện toàn bộ
Plasma bioscience and its application to medicineSpringer Science and Business Media LLC - Tập 31 - Trang 1-38 - 2021

Nonthermal atmospheric pressure biocompatible plasma (NBP), alternatively called
bio-cold plasma, is a partially ionized gas that consists of charged particles,
neutral atoms and molecules, photons, an electric field, and heat. Recently,
nonthermal plasma-based technology has been applied to bioscience, medicine,
agriculture, food processing, and safety. Various plasma device configurations
and el... hiện toàn bộ
Pion and photon beam initiated backward charmonium or lepton pair productionSpringer Science and Business Media LLC - Tập 33 - Trang 1-21 - 2023
Bernard Pire, Kirill M. Semenov-Tian-Shansky, Alisa A. Shaikhutdinova, Lech Szymanowski
Hard exclusive reactions initiated by pion or photon beams within the
near-backward kinematical regime specified by the small Mandelstam variable
$$-u$$ can be studied to access pion-to-nucleon and photon-to-nucleon transition
distribution amplitudes (TDAs). Checking the validity of collinear factorized
description of pion and photon induced reactions in terms of TDAs allows to test
the universali... hiện toàn bộ
On mass and matterSpringer Science and Business Media LLC - Tập 31 - Trang 1-11 - 2021
Craig D. Roberts
The visible Universe is largely characterised by a single mass scale, namely,
the proton mass, mp. Contemporary theory suggests that mp emerges as a
consequence of gluon self-interactions, which are a defining characteristic of
quantum chromodynamics (QCD), the theory of strong interactions in the Standard
Model. However, the proton is not elementary. Its mass appears as a corollary of
other, more... hiện toàn bộ
