Kinematics of the Ankle/Foot Complex: Plantarflexion and Dorsiflexion Tập 9 Số 4 - Trang 194-200 - 1989
Arne Lundberg, I Goldie, B Kalin, Göran Selvik
In an in vivo investigation of eight healthy volunteers, three dimensional
ankle/foot kinematics were analyzed by roentgen stereophotogrammetry in 10°
steps of motion from 30° of plantar flexion to 30° of dorsiflexion of the foot.
The study included all of the joints between the tibia and the first metatarsal,
as well as the talocalcaneal joint, and was performed under full body load.
Although the... hiện toàn bộ
In Vitro Determination of Midfoot Motion Tập 10 Số 3 - Trang 140-146 - 1989
Tye J. Ouzounian, Michael J. Shereff
Midfoot motion was determined using an in vitro model. Ten fresh-frozen
below-the-knee amputation specimens were instrumented by inserting reference
pins into each of the bones of the hindfoot, midfoot and metatarsals.
Dorsiflexion-plantar flexion and supination-pronation were simulated and the
reference pin location in three dimensional space was determined. Comparing the
location of the referenc... hiện toàn bộ
Kinematics of the Ankle/Foot Complex—Part 2: Pronation and Supination Tập 9 Số 5 - Trang 248-253 - 1989
Arne Lundberg, Ola Svensson, Carin Bylund, I Goldie, Göran Selvik
The influence of pronation and supination of the foot on the joints of the
ankle/foot complex was analyzed three dimensionally by roentgen
stereophotogrammetry in eight healthy volunteers. Radiopaque markers were
introduced into the tibia, talus, calcaneus, navicular, medial cuneiform, and
first metatarsal bones. The subjects stood on a platform that was tilted in
10°-steps from 20° of pronation t... hiện toàn bộ
Evolution of the Human Foot: Evidence from Plio-Pleistocene Hominids Tập 3 Số 6 - Trang 365-376 - 1983
Randall L. Susman
The human foot serves a dual role during locomotion. It functions at times as a
mobile structure and at times as a rigid lever. The human foot shows the
hallmarks of an arboreal heritage wherein the foot was primarily a grasping
organ. Over the course of the human career the human foot has evolved an
elaborate plantar aponeurosis, strong plantar ligaments, longitudinal arches, an
enlarged musculus... hiện toàn bộ
The Arterial Anatomy of the Talus Tập 4 Số 2 - Trang 64-72 - 1983
Richard H. Gelberman, Wayne W. Mortensen
The extraosseous and intraosseous vascularity of the talus was studied in 26
fresh cadaver limbs. The specimens were injected with latex or Batson's
compound, debrided by a nondissection technique, and cleared by a modified
Spalteholz method. The extraosseous vascularity was through the branches of the
three major regional arteries which entered the five nonarticulating surfaces of
the bone. The m... hiện toàn bộ
The Measurement of Pressures under the Foot Tập 3 Số 3 - Trang 130-141 - 1982
T. Duckworth, R. P. Betts, C. I. Franks, J. Burke
An apparatus is described which gives a rapid and detailed picture of the
distribution of pressure under the foot, this being displayed either as a
continuous grey scale or a color contour map on a television monitor. Automatic
analysis systems are outlined which enable the quantitation of the distribution
of pressures and loads under the foot during standing and walking, utilizing
computer techni... hiện toàn bộ
Kinematics of the Ankle/Foot Complex—Part 3: Influence of Leg Rotation Tập 9 Số 6 - Trang 304-309 - 1989
Arne Lundberg, Ola Svensson, Carin Bylund, Göran Selvik
In an in vivo kinematical investigation, the movements of the ankle/foot complex
induced by external rotation of the leg from an internally rotated position were
analyzed by roentgen stereophotogrammetry. Radiopaque markers were introduced
into the tibia, talus, calcaneus, navicular, medial cuneiform, and first
metatarsal bones of eight healthy volunteers. Rotations occurring between these
bones a... hiện toàn bộ
Selective Tarsal Arthrodesis: An in Vitro Analysis of the Effect on Foot Motion Tập 8 Số 3 - Trang 127-133 - 1987
Harris Gellman, Michael R. Lenihan, Nick Halikis, Michael J. Botte, Mauro Giordani, Jacquelin Perry
Five different intertarsal arthrodeses were simulated in 15 fresh cadaver
feet/ankles utilizing external fixation. Pin placement was verified
radiographically. Range of motion measurements were performed before pin
placement, after pin placement, and after simulated arthrodesis. The deficit in
foot motion created by selected limited intertarsal fusions was then measured.
The prearthrodesis range o... hiện toàn bộ
Triple Arthrodesis: A Long-term Study with Force Plate Analysis Tập 2 Số 1 - Trang 15-24 - 1981
Richard B. Southwell, Frederick C. Sherman
This study evaluated triple arthrodesis at late follow-up using the liquid
crystal force plate and standard clinical methods. Twenty-four patients with 36
triple arthrodeses were followed-up at an average of 8 ± 2 years. Fifty-eight
per cent of patients achieved an ideal or good rating with 11% failures.
Failures were due to inadequate surgical correction of varus deformity. Seven
per cent of join... hiện toàn bộ
