Development and Validation of the Revised Multicultural Ideology Scale in Germany and LuxembourgPsychological Reports - Tập 126 Số 1 - Trang 477-501 - 2023
Maria Stogianni, John W. Berry, Dmitry Grigoryev, Elke Murdock, Lea-Marie Schmidt, Caroline Back
A revised version of the Multicultural Ideology Scale (rMCI) is currently being developed to measure endorsement of multiculturalism in different cultural contexts. This study, which is part of a wider cross-cultural research project, presents the first assessment of the rMCI scale in the German language. The measure aims to cover several attitudinal dimensions of multiculturalism, releva...... hiện toàn bộ
Hierarchical Cluster AnalysisPsychological Reports - Tập 18 Số 3 - Trang 851-854 - 1966
Cecil C. Bridges
Hierarchical cluster analysis produces a unique set of nested categories or clusters by sequentially pairing variables, clusters, or variables and clusters. At each step, beginning with the correlation matrix, all clusters and unclustered variables are tried in all possible pairs, and that pair producing the highest average intercorrelation within the trial cluster is chosen as the new cl...... hiện toàn bộ
Factor Analytic and Reliability Studies on the Activation-Deactivation Adjective Check ListPsychological Reports - Tập 42 Số 3 - Trang 747-756 - 1978
Robert E Thayer
Two factor analytic studies were conducted on a revised long form and a short form of the Activation-Deactivation Adjective Check List, a self-report test of transitory activation or arousal states. Although previous research indicated that the check list is composed of four independent activation factors, the present research instead suggests two general bipolar activation dimensions. Ho...... hiện toàn bộ
Measurement of Activation through Self-ReportPsychological Reports - Tập 20 Số 2 - Trang 663-678 - 1967
Robert E Thayer
While activation has proved to be a very useful concept in understanding behavior, theoretical and practical problems concerning physiological measurement have reduced its utility. Controlled self-report is suggested as an alternative measurement form, and data from several studies are presented indicating the validity of the Activation-Deactivation Adjective Check List (AD-ACL), an objec...... hiện toàn bộ
Sexual Frequency and Salivary Immunoglobulin A (IgA)Psychological Reports - Tập 94 Số 3 - Trang 839-844 - 2004
Carl J. Charnetski, Francis X. Brennan
112 college students reported the frequency of their sexual encounters and were divided into four categories: none, infrequent (less than once a week), frequent (one to two times per week), and very frequent (three or more times per week). Participants also described their overall sexual satisfaction. Saliva samples were collected and assayed for salivary immunoglobulin A (IgA). Individua...... hiện toàn bộ
Schedule-Induced Polydipsia: Species LimitationsPsychological Reports - Tập 36 Số 3 - Trang 863-866 - 1975
Stephen J. Wilson, W. Boyd Spencer
5 male hamsters were reduced to 80% ad lib. weight and were run in a 3-hr. session with a VI-60 sec. schedule for 20-mg. pellets for 14 consecutive days. Water was freely available at all times. As hamsters did not exhibit the excessive drinking characteristic of other animals under similar paradigms, there appears to be a species limitation to schedule-induced polydipsia.
Concurrent Water-Drinking on FI and CRF Food-Reinforcement Schedules in the Rhesus MonkeyPsychological Reports - Tập 22 Số 3_suppl - Trang 1065-1070 - 1968
Charles L. Salzberg, Wendon W. Henton, John J. Jordan
Concurrent drinking was recorded in 3 rhesus monkeys for 5 sessions in which bar-pressing was maintained on a CRF schedule of food reinforcement and for 10 sessions on an FI 1-min. reinforcement schedule. All Ss showed an increase in water consumption per session on the FI 1-min. schedule. The highest frequency of drinking occurred 30 to 70 sec. post-reinforcement. Due to a 7½-sec. change...... hiện toàn bộ
An Ontogenetic Study of Electrical Activities in the Cerebral Cortex of the Albino RatPsychological Reports - Tập 23 Số 2 - Trang 667-670 - 1968
Neiichi Nagamura, Shinkuro Iwahara
The cortical potentials (EEG) of the albino rat were studied from birth to maturity. For several days after birth the EEG recordings were mostly flat with occasional appearance of 6 to 12 c/s waves of low voltage. After 5 days a long sequence of highly rhythmic waves of the same frequencies was most characteristic, often synchronous with the respiratory cycle and even after gross bodily m...... hiện toàn bộ
