A review of gap-surface plasmon metasurfaces: fundamentals and applicationsNanophotonics - Tập 7 Số 6 - Trang 1129-1156 - 2018
Fei Ding, Yuanqing Yang, R. Deshpande, Sergey I. Bozhevolnyi
AbstractPlasmonic metasurfaces, which can be considered as the two-dimensional
analog of metal-based metamaterials, have attracted progressively increasing
attention in recent years because of the ease of fabrication and unprecedented
control over the reflected or transmitted light while featuring relatively low
losses even at optical wavelengths. Among all the different design approaches,
gap-sur... hiện toàn bộ
Facile fabrication of stretchable photonic Ag nanostructures by soft-contact patterning of ionic Ag solution coatingsNanophotonics - Tập 11 Số 11 - Trang 2693-2700 - 2022

Abstract We describe a rapid and simple method to create Ag nanostructures by
using direct mechanical patterning of ionic Ag ink coating under gentle
pressure, then thermal annealing to reduce the ionic Ag ink to a metallic Ag
layer. The ionic liquid-phase Ag coating is easily obtained by spin-coating
ionic Ag ink that has appropriate Ag concentration and can be either printed or
imprinted on the ... hiện toàn bộ
Indium-Tin-Oxide for High-performance Electro-optic ModulationNanophotonics - Tập 4 Số 1 - Trang 198-213 - 2015

Abstract:Advances in opto-electronics are often led by discovery and development
of materials featuring unique properties. Recently, the material class of
transparent conductive oxides (TCO) has attracted attention for active photonic
devices on-chip. In particular, indium tin oxide (ITO) is found to have
refractive index changes on the order of unity. This property makes it possible
to achieve el... hiện toàn bộ
Observing and controlling a Tamm plasmon at the interface with a metasurfaceNanophotonics - Tập 9 Số 4 - Trang 897-903 - 2020

Abstract We demonstrate experimentally that Tamm plasmons in the near infrared
can be supported by a dielectric mirror interfaced with a metasurface, a
discontinuous thin metal film periodically patterned on the sub-wavelength
scale. More crucially, not only do Tamm plasmons survive the nanopatterning of
the metal film but they also become sensitive to external perturbations as a
result. In partic... hiện toàn bộ
Graphene plasmonics: physics and potential applicationsNanophotonics - Tập 6 Số 6 - Trang 1191-1204 - 2016

AbstractPlasmon in graphene possesses many unique properties. It originates from
the collective motion of massless Dirac fermions, and the carrier density
dependence is distinctively different from conventional plasmons. In addition,
graphene plasmon is highly tunable and shows strong energy confinement
capability. Most intriguingly, as an atom-thin layer, graphene and its plasmon
are very sensiti... hiện toàn bộ

Abstract This review article discusses progress in surface plasmon resonance
(SPR) of two-dimensional (2D) and three-dimensional (3D) chip-based
nanostructure array patterns. Recent advancements in fabrication techniques for
nano-arrays have endowed researchers with tools to explore a material’s
plasmonic optical properties. In this review, fabrication techniques including
electron-beam lithograph... hiện toàn bộ
Stretchable and self-healable organometal halide perovskite nanocrystal-embedded polymer gels with enhanced luminescence stabilityNanophotonics - Tập 7 Số 12 - Trang 1949-1958 - 2018

Abstract Stretchable and self-healing polymer gels with luminescent property are
very promising materials for next generation soft optical devices. This work
presents the preparation of self-healing and luminescent polymer gels by simply
blending organometal halide perovskite nanocrystals (OHP NCs) with
poly(dimethylsiloxane)-urea copolymer (PDMS-urea). On the one hand, the obtained
luminescent ge... hiện toàn bộ

Abstract Because of the linear dispersion relation and the unique structure of
graphene’s Dirac electrons, which can be tuned the ultra-wide band, this enables
more applications in photonics, electronics and plasma optics. As a substrate,
hexagonal boron nitride (h-BN) has an atomic level flat surface without dangling
bonds, a weak doping effect and a response in the far ultraviolet area. So the

Abstract Two-dimensional (2D) materials with excellent optical properties and
complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor (CMOS) compatibility have promising
application prospects for developing highly efficient, small-scale all-optical
modulators. However, due to the weak nonlinear light-material interaction, high
power density and large contact area are usually required, resulting in low
light modul... hiện toàn bộ
