Nd composite selective recovery from waste permanent magnet scrap powders by solid-fluorination reactionJournal of the Korean Ceramic Society - - Trang 1-7 - 2023
Yun-Ho Jin, Hee-Seon Kim, Jae-Kyo Yang, Dae-Weon Kim, Dong-Wan Kim
This study proposes a novel waste permanent magnet (WPM) recycling technology by
avoiding conventional technology that relies on strong acid and developing a
feasible process using relatively inexpensive reagents, thereby reducing overall
process cost to acceptable levels. Nd2Fe14B WPMs were transformed into a
fluoride/oxide composite material through oxidation/fluorination heat treatment.

Thermal stability of active electrode material in contact with solid electrolyteJournal of the Korean Ceramic Society - Tập 59 - Trang 193-201 - 2022
Artur Tron, Alexander Nosenko, Junyoung Mun
For lithium battery systems including solid-state batteries, the solid
electrolytes are playing an important role in enhancing the lithium
transportation through the electrode/electrolyte interface resulting in the
enhanced electrochemical performance of active materials which can prevent the
dendrite formation for long term cycle life. However, the formation of the solid
electrolyte film on the m... hiện toàn bộ
Accelerated life test of chemically strengthened light weight glass bottles by spray coatingJournal of the Korean Ceramic Society - - 2024
Kyung Won Min, Jae Ho Choi, Yoon Sung Jung, Young Min Byun, Won Bin Im, Hyeong-Jun Kim
This study investigated the strength retention and reliability of glass bottles
through accelerated life tests in the presence and absence of chemical
strengthening and hot end coating (HEC). Forced contact was induced by rotation
up to 5000 times using a line simulator. As the number of rotations increased,
the strength and lifespan of the untreated glass bottles gradually decreased.
However, the... hiện toàn bộ
Sweet ceramics: how saccharide-based compounds have changed colloidal processing of ceramic materialsJournal of the Korean Ceramic Society - - 2020
Paulina Wiecińska, Agnieszka Żurawska, Paweł Falkowski, Dae‐Yong Jeong, M. Szafran
AbstractHerein, we present manifold possibilities of using saccharides and their
derivatives in colloidal processing of ceramics. Sugar-based compounds are
attractive alternatives for commonly used organic additives, because they are
renewable materials, are non-toxic to human skin, and have a positive influence
on the rheological behavior and stability of ceramic suspensions which is
reflected in... hiện toàn bộ
Physical properties and microstructures of poly(phospho-siloxo) and poly(sialate-siloxo) networks from two metakaolinsJournal of the Korean Ceramic Society - Tập 58 - Trang 452-470 - 2021

The aim of this investigation is to compare the properties of
poly(phospho-siloxo) and poly(sialate-siloxo) networks. Commercial sodium
waterglass and sodium waterglass from rice husk ash were used as alkaline
reagents and phosphoric acid with molarities 8 and 10 M was used as acid
reagents. Local metakaolin and commercial ones containing 0.99 and 0.0% of
Fe2O3, respectively, were used as aluminos... hiện toàn bộ
Effect of Zn-doping CdTe on the internal and external quantum efficiency: ab initio calculationsJournal of the Korean Ceramic Society - Tập 60 - Trang 896-904 - 2023
G. Kadim, R. Masrour
The photovoltaic properties depend on the internal (IQE) and external (EQE)
quantum efficiency. However, to calculate this quantum efficiency theoretically,
we have determined the optical and electronic properties of Cd1−xZnxTe bulk and
CdTe thin film. CdTe thin film is immensely interesting narrow band gap
semiconductor with high absorption 100 × 104 cm−1 for the visible solar spectrum

Hybrid ceramics-based cancer theranosticsJournal of the Korean Ceramic Society - Tập 59 - Trang 401-426 - 2022
Qingwen Guan, Binbin He, Jie Huang, Helen H. Lu, Min Wang
Cancer is a major threat to human lives. Early detection and precisely targeted
therapy/therapies for cancer is the most effective way to reduce the
difficulties (e.g., side effects, low survival rate, etc.) in treating cancer.
To enable effective cancer detection and treatment, ceramic biomaterials have
been intensively and extensively investigated owing to their good
biocompatibility, high bioac... hiện toàn bộ
Estimation of sintering pressure during the pore fragmentation via coordination number and reversal of curvatureJournal of the Korean Ceramic Society - Tập 59 - Trang 936-943 - 2022
Byungjin Hwang, Yeong-Kyeun Paek, Kyung-Sik Oh
Sintering is a process of removing pores from a powder compact, and the pressure
to shrink pores is called sintering pressure. In this research, to explain the
improvement of sintering in accordance with pore fragmentation, the change in
the number of grains per pores (coordination number) was highlighted, and the
sintering pressure was expressed and calculated in terms of a coordination
number. T... hiện toàn bộ
