A method for the study of undecalcified bones and teeth with attached soft tissues* Tập 11 Số 4 - Trang 318-326 - 1982
K Donath, G. Breuner
A new sawing‐grinding method is described for the histological evaluation of jaw
bones with teeth or bones containing implants (ceramic or metallic). The
undecalcified bone is embedded in acrylic resin and sawed at 100 to 150 μm. The
slices are ground automatically by a special machine to a thickness of 5–10 μm.
The usually employed staining procedures for hard plastic embedded tissues may
be used... hiện toàn bộ

A hospital‐based case‐control study of matched pairs was conducted to explore
(a) the relationship between the use of betel quid chewing, cigarette smoking,
alcohol drinking and oral cancer and (b) synergism between these factors. The
case group consisted of 104 male and 3 female oral cancer patients and these

Bacterial leakage around dental restorations: its effect on the dental pulp Tập 11 Số 6 - Trang 439-450 - 1982
Gunnar Bergenholtz, Charles F. Cox, Walter J. Loesche, Salam A. Syed
This study revealed that the quantity of bacteria filtered from the base of
Class V cavity restorations were directly related to the type of medicament
used. Of the brands studied: composite, amalgam, silicate, and guttapercha –
each produced varying numbers of bacterial colonies, whereas zinc oxide and
eugenol cement showed none. Histopathology of the pulps correlated directly to
the microbiologi... hiện toàn bộ

Dental agenesis is the most common developmental anomaly in humans and is
frequently associated with several other oral abnormalities. Whereas the
incidence of missing teeth may vary considerably depending on dentition, gender,
and demographic or geographic profiles, distinct patterns of agenesis have been
detected in the permanent dentition. These frequently involve the last teeth of
a class to d... hiện toàn bộ
