Functionalization of PEG—PMPC-based polymers for potential theranostic applicationsFrontiers of Materials Science - - 2021
Ning Chen, Sidi Li, Xueping Li, Lixia Long, Xubo Yuan, Xin Hou, Jin Zhao
The synergistic effect of polyethylene glycol (PEG) and
poly(2-methacryloyloxyethyl phosphorylcholine) (PMPC) can effectively reduce the
protein absorption, which is beneficial to theranostics. However, PEG–PMPC-based
polymers have rarely been used as nanocarriers in the theranostic field due to
their limited modifiability and weak interaction with other materials. Herein, a
plain method was propo... hiện toàn bộ
Green synthesis of biocompatible gold nanoparticles using Fagopyrum esculentum leaf extractFrontiers of Materials Science - Tập 5 - Trang 379-387 - 2011
Punuri Jayasekhar Babu, Pragya Sharma, Mohan Chandra Kalita, Utpal Bora
This report describes the use of ethnolic extract of Fagopyrum esculentum leaves
for the synthesis of gold nanoparticles. UV-visible spectroscopy analysis
indicated the successful formation of gold nanoparticles. The synthesized
nanoparticles were characterized by transmission electron microscopy (TEM), high
resolution TEM (HRTEM) and were found to be spherical, hexagonal and triangular
in shape w... hiện toàn bộ
Preparation of poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) brush grafted silica particles via surface-initiated atom transfer radical polymerization used for aqueous chromatographyFrontiers of Materials Science - Tập 6 - Trang 60-68 - 2012
Zong-Jian Liu, Yan-Li Liang, Fang-Fang Geng, Fang Lv, Rong-Ji Dai, Yu-Kui Zhang, Yu-Lin Deng
Thermoresponsive poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) (PNIPAAm) brushes were densely
grafted onto silica surface via surface-initiated atom transfer radical
polymerization (SI-ATRP). The grafting reaction started from the surfaces of
2-bromoisobutyratefunctionalized silica particles in 2-propanol aqueous solution
at ambient temperature using
CuCl/CuCl2/N,N,N′,N′,N″-pentamethyldiethylenetriamine (PMDETA) as... hiện toàn bộ
Recent research situation in tin dioxide nanomaterials: synthesis, microstructures, and propertiesFrontiers of Materials Science - Tập 7 - Trang 203-226 - 2013
Zhi-Wen Chen, Chan-Hung Shek, C. M. Lawrence Wu, Joseph K. L. Lai
This review article summarizes the new research in solid-state physical
chemistry understanding of the microstructure characteristics of semiconductor
tin oxide thin films made in the last years in our group. The work mainly
focuses on the fabrication technology of semiconductor tin oxides thin films by
using pulsed laser deposition (PLD) as well as the application of this
technology on new micro-... hiện toàn bộ
Electrospun polypyrrole-coated polycaprolactone nanoyarn nerve guidance conduits for nerve tissue engineeringFrontiers of Materials Science - Tập 12 - Trang 438-446 - 2018
Xin Pan, Binbin Sun, Xiumei Mo
Nerve guidance conduits (NGCs) can provide suitable microenvironment for nerve
repair and promote the proliferation and migration of Schwann cells (SCs). Thus,
we developed nerve guidance conduits (NGCs) with polypyrrole-coated
polycaprolactone nanoyarns (PPy-PCL-NYs) as fillers in this study. PCL-NYs with
the oriented structure were prepared with a double-needle electrospinning system
and then PP... hiện toàn bộ
Wettability manipulation of magnetic transition metal nanorod arrays by X-ray irradiationFrontiers of Materials Science - Tập 9 - Trang 311-315 - 2015
Qian Xie, Weipeng Wang, Zheng Xie, Shuang Shuang, Zhengcao Li, Zhengjun Zhang
Wettability manipulation of glancing angle deposited Fe/Co/Ni nanorod arrays was
realized by X-ray irradiation in ultra-high vacuum chamber. Reversible
transition was also purchased by alternating ethanol immersion and X-ray
irradiation. Alkyl group adsorption–desorption mechanism and corresponding
morphology dependence of wettability manipulation were revealed.
Improvement in synthesis of (K0.5Na0.5)NbO3 powders by Ge4+ acceptor dopingFrontiers of Materials Science - - 2016
Yajing Zhao, Yan Chen, Kepi Chen
In this paper, the effects of doping with GeO2 on the synthesis temperature,
phase structure and morphology of (K0.5Na0.5)NbO3 (KNN) ceramic powders were
studied using XRD and SEM. The results show that KNN powders with good
crystallinity and compositional homogeneity can be obtained after calcination at
up to 900°C for 2 h. Introducing 0.5 mol.% GeO2 into the starting mixture
improved the synthes... hiện toàn bộ
Nanodiamonds as nanomaterial for biomedical fieldFrontiers of Materials Science - Tập 15 - Trang 334-351 - 2021

Recent advances in nanotechnology have attracted significant attention to
nanodiamonds (NDs) in both industrial and research areas thanks to their
remarkable intrinsic properties: large specific area, poor cytotoxicity,
chemical resistance, magnetic and optical properties, ease of large-scale
production, and surface reactivity make them suitable for numerous applications,
including electronics, op... hiện toàn bộ
