The synergistic effect of MoS2 and graphene with a specific capacitance of 270 F g−1 for the use of a higher performance energy storage composite electrode for supercapacitors is reported.
A single step scalable synthesis for vanadium disulphide (VS2) was developed and the resulting material shows a better electrocatalytic performance in terms of a low onset potential (15 mV), a lower Tafel slope (36 mV dec−1) and needs only 41 mV to deliver a state-of-the-art current density of 10 mA cm−2.
A highly stable and biocompatible nanoscale metal–organic framework has been developed for luminescent self-referenced pH sensing in the physiological range.
A co-doped lanthanide metal–organic framework (LnMOF) consisting of anion affinity sites exhibits self-calibrating, high distinguishable and stable photoluminescent signals for detecting toxic anions.
