Phương pháp giả định rằng chỉ có biến thể nội suy Π_h[u] của u trong không gian phần tử hữu hạn của các phần tử hữu hạn tam giác tuyến tính và hình chữ nhật hai biến từ T_h là được biết. Phân tích hoàn thiện của phương pháp này là sự mở rộng của phân tích hoàn thiện liên quan đến không gian phần tử hữu hạn của các phần tử tam giác tuyến tính từ [Dalík J., Trung bình các đạo hàm phương hướng tại các đỉnh của các phân hoạch không có góc nhọn, Numer. Math., 2010, 116(4), 619–644]. Sự xấp xỉ bậc hai của gradient được mở rộng từ các đỉnh đến toàn bộ miền và được áp dụng cho các ước lượng sai số a posteriori của các nghiệm phần tử hữu hạn của các bài toán biên ellipse cấp hai trong mặt phẳng. Các minh họa số về độ chính xác của phương pháp trung bình và chất lượng của các ước lượng sai số a posteriori cũng được trình bày.

We consider the existence or otherwise of canonical divisible normal subgroups of groups in general. We present more counterexamples than positive results. These counterexamples constitute the substantive part of this paper.

In this article the rank-k numerical range ∧ k (A) of an entrywise nonnegative matrix A is investigated. Extending the notion of elements of maximum modulus in ∧ k (A), we examine their location on the complex plane. Further, an application of this theory to ∧ k (L(λ)) of a Perron polynomial L(λ) is elaborated via its companion matrix C L .

We characterize Poisson and Jacobi structures by means of complete lifts of the corresponding tensors: the lifts have to be related to canonical structures by morphisms of corresponding vector bundles. Similar results hold for generalized Poisson and Jacobi structures (canonical structures) associated with Lie algebroids and Jacobi algebroids.

Let (X Δ) be a four-dimensional log variety that is projective over the field of complex numbers. Assume that (X, Δ) is not Kawamata log terminal (klt) but divisorial log terminal (dlt). First we introduce the notion of “log quasi-numerically positive”, by relaxing that of “numerically positive”. Next we prove that, if the log canonical divisorK X+Δ is log quasi-numerically positive on (X, Δ) then it is semi-ample.

Let b ≥ 2 be a fixed positive integer. We show for a wide variety of sequences {a n } =1 ∞ that for almost all n the sum of digits of a n in base b is at least c b log n, where c b is a constant depending on b and on the sequence. Our approach covers several integer sequences arising from number theory and combinatorics.

This article defines and presents the mathematical analysis of a new class of models from the theory of inelastic deformations of metals. This new class, containing so called convex composite models, enlarges the class containing monotone models of gradient type defined in [1]. This paper starts to establish the existence theory for models from this new class; we restrict our investigations to the coercive and linear self-controlling case.
