Design the prototype of the Spartan II FPGA slice with the current-mode gates
ICCSC'02. 1st IEEE International Conference on Circuits and Systems for Communications. Proceedings (IEEE Cat. No.02EX605) - - Trang 182-185
O. Maslennikow, R. Berezowski, P. Soltan, M. Rajewska
The paper deals with the problem of the design of the main FPGA-cell blocks with current-mode gates - novel digital gates operating with constant, continuous power supply current. Using proposed approaches to design digital current-mode circuits, current-mode prototypes of several digital circuits and the Spartan II slice are elaborated. The obtained circuits are characterized by smaller hardware ...... hiện toàn bộ

A non-quasi-static small-signal model of the four-terminal MOSFET for radio and microwave frequencies
ICCSC'02. 1st IEEE International Conference on Circuits and Systems for Communications. Proceedings (IEEE Cat. No.02EX605) - - Trang 316-319
W.J. Kordalski, T. Stefanski
An original, fully analytical non-quasi-static (NQS) small-signal model of the MOS transistor is proposed for analysis and simulation of radio and microwave frequency circuits. We report results of frequency-domain analysis, the main features and experimental verification of the novel NQS four-terminal model derived in the time-domain (Kordalski, Int. Conf. on Signals and Electron. Sys., 2000). Th...... hiện toàn bộ

Low-loss high power microwave switching using novel nitride based MOS heterostructure field-effect transistors
ICCSC'02. 1st IEEE International Conference on Circuits and Systems for Communications. Proceedings (IEEE Cat. No.02EX605) - - Trang 390-391
G. Simin, A. Koudymov, X. Hu, J. Zhang, M. Ali, M.A. Khan
A microwave switch based on a novel nitride based metal-oxide-semiconductor heterostructure field effect transistor (MOSHFET) is proposed and demonstrated. Due to record high saturation current and breakdown voltage, negligible gate leakage current and low gate capacitance, the proposed switch allows for less than 0.3 dB insertion loss and more than 35 dB isolation. The unique feature of the MOSHF...... hiện toàn bộ

Perspectives of use of three-layer ferrite-dielectric waveguides for creation of integrated antennas with narrow beam
ICCSC'02. 1st IEEE International Conference on Circuits and Systems for Communications. Proceedings (IEEE Cat. No.02EX605) - - Trang 354-357
E.F. Zaitsev, A.B. Guskov, A.S. Cherepanov, K.V. Guzenko
In this report, data of experimental research of three-layer ferrite-dielectric waveguides (FDW) in the millimeter wave band has been represented. These waveguides are the basis of integrated phased arrays (IPA) with electrical control of beam position. The IPA itself is founded on a travelling wave antenna principle. The maximum size of such an antenna is determined by losses in the waveguide. Th...... hiện toàn bộ

A lumped, large-signal dynamic model of the mosfet for RF circuit simulation
ICCSC'02. 1st IEEE International Conference on Circuits and Systems for Communications. Proceedings (IEEE Cat. No.02EX605) - - Trang 312-315
Chen Zaiman, Lai Jinmei, Omar Wing, Ren Junyan
We present a lumped, large-signal dynamic model of the MOS transistor that is derived from a partial differential equation model of the transistor. The new model is a ladder network in which each series arm is a nonlinear conductance and each shunt arm a nonlinear charge "store." The network variables are localized surface potentials, surface charge densities, and currents. We test the model again...... hiện toàn bộ

Method of high reliability system synthesis using VHDL
ICCSC'02. 1st IEEE International Conference on Circuits and Systems for Communications. Proceedings (IEEE Cat. No.02EX605) - - Trang 134-137
B.G. Konoplev, V.G. Ivchenko
The possibilities of realization of descriptive properties for microsystems reconfiguration using VHDL are considered. The method of reconfiguration of computation and communication systems and corresponding algorithm are proposed. The mechanism of creation of a switched element array on the basis of VHDL description is developed.

Multi-criterion filter design via differential evolution method for function minimization
ICCSC'02. 1st IEEE International Conference on Circuits and Systems for Communications. Proceedings (IEEE Cat. No.02EX605) - - Trang 106-109
J. Vondras, P. Martinek
This article proposes a solution to the problem of multi-criterion filter design. In contrast to standard method it allows one to solve problems of filter design with all sorts of limitations. To solve these large constraint problems, modifying differential evolution (DE) is used as an effective way for penalty function minimization that describes required deviation. This technique has been applie...... hiện toàn bộ

A new type of universal functional block suitable for circuits derived by adjoint transformation
ICCSC'02. 1st IEEE International Conference on Circuits and Systems for Communications. Proceedings (IEEE Cat. No.02EX605) - - Trang 74-77
O. Subrt, P. Martinek
This paper describes a new type of universal functional block called U4TIA suitable for implementation all the known types of amplifiers (VOA, COA, OTA, TIA) and their adjoined counterparts. The first part of this paper deals with the basic structure of U4TIA. A simple implementation by using conventional TIA or current-conveyors (CCII) is shown. The second part is devoted to the description of cu...... hiện toàn bộ
