Một nghiên cứu trên 26 bệnh nhân nam bị bệnh loét dạ dày đã chỉ ra rằng viên nén được chế từ sữa bột nguyên kem (12.5 gm), natri bicarbonate (0.6 gm) và canxi cacbonat (2.0 gm) có hiệu quả còn cao hơn một chút so với quy trình Sippy thông thường về việc trung hòa độ axit dạ dày.
