Mặc dù hút mỡ là một trong những quy trình phẫu thuật được tìm kiếm nhiều nhất trên thế giới, nhưng có rất nhiều biến chứng đã được công nhận liên quan đến nó. Tuy nhiên, chưa có báo cáo ca nào như trường hợp này liên quan đến các biến chứng nghiêm trọng phát sinh từ kỹ thuật có độ phân giải cao. Chúng tôi mô tả việc điều trị cho một bệnh nhân bị hoại tử nghiêm trọng sau khi thực hiện hút mỡ hỗ trợ sức mạnh có độ phân giải cao. Một phụ nữ 37 tuổi, có chỉ số khối cơ thể thừa cân và không có bệnh lý đi kèm nào khác, đã thực hiện hút mỡ kết hợp với phẫu thuật tạo hình bụng vào năm 2012. Đầu năm 2019, cô đã trải qua một ca hút mỡ có độ phân giải cao, và được chuyển vào một bệnh viện đa khoa có liên kết với trường đại học sau 8 ngày tiến hành thủ thuật với chẩn đoán viêm fascia hoại tử và nhiễm khuẩn huyết. Bệnh nhân đã nhận được điều trị cho tình trạng đe dọa tính mạng tại phòng chăm sóc tích cực (ICU) và nhiều can thiệp để làm sạch tổ chức hoại tử và thay thế da.
