Using the model systems, it is experimentally found that in the polydispersed mineral system, small particles prevalently adhere to large particles. Experiments on flotation of the lead-zinc ore under the industrial conditions showed that the addition of coarse quartz and stirring the pulp at a specified intensity promote the removal of sludges of rock-forming minerals from the sphalerite surface. Extraction of zinc is increased in this case.
