Trong số đó, quá trình apoptosis do GR điều chỉnh của nhiều loại tế bào có nguồn gốc từ tế bào máu và sự ức chế biểu hiện gene cytokine tiền viêm đã được mô tả như là cơ chế chính chịu trách nhiệm cho hoạt động kháng viêm của GC.
