Các xét nghiệm mô học, hóa mô và siêu cấu trúc đã được thực hiện trên mô thận của chuột cưng sau khi sử dụng kéo dài thuốc anorectic chlorphentermine hoặc các thuốc chống trầm cảm ba vòng như iprindole, imipramine và clomipramine.
