Nguy cơ nhiễm virus viêm gan E cấp tính ở phụ nữ mang thai dương tính với HIV-1 tại châu Phi trung tâm

Virus viêm gan E (HEV), một tác nhân gây bệnh truyền qua đường tiêu hóa, đang lưu hành cao tại một số quốc gia châu Phi. Phụ nữ mang thai có nguy cơ đặc biệt cao về viêm gan E cấp tính hoặc nặng. Tại Gabon, một quốc gia ở châu Phi trung tâm, tỷ lệ kháng thể đối với HEV trong số phụ nữ mang thai là 14,1%. Các nghiên cứu gần đây đã chỉ ra những mô hình bất thường của viêm gan E (viêm gan mãn tính, xơ gan) ở những bệnh nhân bị suy giảm miễn dịch. Chúng tôi đã điều tra tỷ lệ kháng thể đối với HEV ở phụ nữ mang thai nhiễm HIV-1 hoặc HTLV-1 tại Gabon. Trong số 243 mẫu thu thập, 183 mẫu dương tính với HIV-1 và 60 mẫu dương tính với HTLV-1; 16 phụ nữ (6,6%) có kháng thể IgG đối với HEV. Tỷ lệ huyết thanh cao hơn ở phụ nữ nhiễm HIV-1 (7,1%) so với phụ nữ nhiễm HTLV-1 (5,0%). Hơn nữa, tải lượng virus HIV-1 tăng đáng kể (p ≤ 0,02) ở những phụ nữ có tiền sử tiếp xúc với HEV (1.3E+05 so với 5.7E+04 bản sao/ml), trong khi không có sự khác biệt nào được tìm thấy ở tải lượng proviral HTLV-1 (9.0E+01 so với 1.1E+03 bản sao/ml).
