Genetic Diversity and Population Structure of Broomcorn Sorghum Investigated with Simple Sequence Repeat MarkersTropical Plant Biology - Tập 13 - Trang 62-72 - 2020

In order to study the genetic diversity and population structure of broomcorn, a
special type of sorghum for broom making, a total of 140 accessions of sorghum
varieties including broomcorn (72), half-broomcorn (4), non-broomcorn (64)
accessions were genotyped by using 45 simple sequence repeat (SSR) markers that
are evenly distributed throughout the sorghum genome. These genotyping analyses
demon... hiện toàn bộ
Method for Label-Free Quantitative Proteomics for Sorghum bicolor L. MoenchTropical Plant Biology - Tập 11 - Trang 78-91 - 2018

Sorghum (Sorghum bicolor L. Moench) is a rapidly emerging high biomass feedstock
for bioethanol and lignocellulosic biomass production. The robust varietal
germplasm of sorghum and its completed genome sequence provide the necessary
genetic and molecular tools to study and engineer the biotic/abiotic stress
tolerance. Traditional proteomics approaches for outlining the sorghum proteome
have many l... hiện toàn bộ
Cytogenetic and ITS-psbA-trnH Sequence Analysis for Phylogenetic Inference in Mucuna sp. of IndiaTropical Plant Biology - Tập 8 - Trang 108-116 - 2015

This paper reports new chromosomal information and earliest proof on efficacy of
nrITS and cp-psbA-trnH gene sequences for barcoding and phylogenetic studies in
Mucuna sp. First cytological evidence on M. sempervirens and M. bracteata
revealed symmetrical karyotype in both the species. Meiotic anomalies evident
from the formation of chromosomal laggards and bridges in M. gigantea and M.

Secretory structures are present in numerous different plant organs. Among the
many known secretory structures, colleters are located such that they protect
part of plant meristem and developmental tissue. One remarkable characteristic
of secretory tissues is the export of exudates; however, the precise mechanism
involved in this process is still unclear. To better understand the mechanism of
exud... hiện toàn bộ
