Mast-Cell Degranulation Induced by Physical Stimuli Involves the Activation of Transient-Receptor-Potential Channel TRPV2 - Trang 113-124 - 2012
D. ZHANG, Andreas Spielmann, L. Wang, Guanghong Ding, Fang Huang, Qin Gu, Wolfgang Schwarz
A characteristic of mast cells is the degranulation in response to various
stimuli. Here we have investigated the effects of various physical stimuli in
the human mast-cell line HMC-1. We have shown that HMC-1 express the transient
receptor potential channels TRPV1, TRPV2 and TRPV4. In the whole-cell
patch-clamp configuration, increasing mechanical stress applied to the mast cell
by hydrostatic pr... hiện toàn bộ
Adhesion, Growth and Differentiation of Osteoblasts on Surface-Modified Materials Developed for Bone Implants - Trang 403-417 - 2011
Marta Vandrovcová, Lucie Bačáková
This review briefly outlines the history and possibilities of bone
reconstruction using various types of artificial materials, which allow
interaction with cells only on the surface of the implant or enable ingrowth of
cells inside the material. Information is also provided on the most important
properties of bone cells taking part in bone tissue development, and on diseases
and regeneration. The ... hiện toàn bộ
Spectral analysis of heart rate variability in sleep. - Trang 369-376 - 2005
Petr Bušek, J Vaňková, J Opavský, Johanna Salinger, Soňa Nevšímalová
Spectral analysis of heart rate variability (HRV) during overnight polygraphic
recording was performed in 11 healthy subjects. The total spectrum power, power
of the VLF, LF and HF spectral bands and the mean R-R were evaluated. Compared
to Stage 2 and Stage 4 non-REM sleep, the total spectrum power was significantly
higher in REM sleep and its value gradually increased in the course of each REM

Genetic defects of cytochrome c oxidase assembly - Trang S213-S223 - 2004
Petr Pecina, H Houst'ková, J Zeman, J Houštěk
Cytochrome c oxidase (COX), the terminal enzyme of the mitochondrial respiratory
chain, is one of the key functional and regulatory sites of the mammalian energy
metabolism. Owing to the importance of the enzyme, pathogenetic mutations
affecting COX frequently result in severe, often fatal metabolic disorders. No
satisfactory therapy is currently available so that the treatment remains
largely sym... hiện toàn bộ
The influence of wine polyphenols on reactive oxygen and nitrogen species production by rat macrophages RAW 264.7 - Trang 393-402 - 2008
M Číž, Martina Pavelková, Lucie Gallová, Jarmila Králová, Lukáš Kubala, Antonı́n Lojek
The aim was to study the antioxidant properties of four wine polyphenols
(flavonoids catechin, epicatechin, and quercetin, and hydroxystilbene
resveratrol). All three flavonoids exerted significant and dose-dependent
scavenging effects against peroxyl radical and nitric oxide in chemical systems.
The scavenging effect of resveratrol was significantly lower. All polyphenols
decreased production of ... hiện toàn bộ
Age-Dependent Salt Hypertension in Dahl Rats: Fifty Years of Research - Trang S35-S87 - 2012
Josef Zicha, Z Dobešová, M. Vokurková, H Rauchová, Silvie Hojná, Michaela Kadlecová, Michal Behuliak, Ivana Vaněčková, Jaroslav Kuneš
Fifty years ago, Lewis K. Dahl has presented a new model of salt hypertension –
salt-sensitive and salt-resistant Dahl rats. Twenty years later, John P. Rapp
has published the first and so far the only comprehensive review on this rat
model covering numerous aspects of pathophysiology and genetics of salt
hypertension. When we summarized 25 years of our own research on Dahl/Rapp rats,
we have real... hiện toàn bộ
Biogenesis of eukaryotic cytochrome c oxidase - Trang S27-S41 - 2006
Lukáš Stibůrek, Hana Hansíková, Markéta Tesařová, Leona Černá, J Zeman
Eukaryotic cytochrome c oxidase (CcO), the terminal component of the
mitochondrial electron transport chain is a heterooligomeric complex that
belongs to the superfamily of heme-copper containing terminal oxidases. The
enzyme, composed of both mitochondrially and nuclear encoded subunits, is
embedded in the inner mitochondrial membrane, where it catalyzes the transfer of
electrons form reduced cyt... hiện toàn bộ
Cardiovascular parameters in rat model of chronic renal failure induced by subtotal nephrectomy - Trang S81-S88 - 2010
Jitka Švíglerová, Jitka Kuncová, Lukáš Nalos, Zbyněk Tonar, Daniel Rajdl, Milan Štengl
Chronic renal failure (CRF) is associated with high incidence of cardiovascular
complications. To clarify pathogenesis of CRF numerous animal models have been
developed. The aim of our work was to describe methodology of subtotal surgical
renal ablation in rat and to characterize some biochemical and cardiovascular
parameters of this animal model. Male rats underwent 5/6 surgical nephrectomy or

Allosteric Modulation of Ligand Gated Ion Channels by Ivermectin - Trang S215-S224 - 2014
Hana Zemková, Vendula Tvrdoňová, Anirban Bhattacharya, Marie Jindřichová
Ivermectin acts as a positive allosteric regulator of several ligand-gated
channels including the glutamate-gated chloride channel (GluCl), aminobutyric
acid type-A receptor, glycine receptor, neuronal α7-nicotinic receptor and
purinergic P2X4 receptor. In most of the ivermectin-sensitive channels, the
effects of ivermectin include the potentiation of agonist-induced currents at
low concentratio... hiện toàn bộ
