Schwannomas arising from the oral cavity are rare, and reports of their imaging features are scarce in the literature. We report two cases of schwannomas involving the oral cavity and describe their computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, and ultrasonography findings.

Measurements of jaw bone density are important for dental implants, and stable voxel values in cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) for dental use are necessary for their evaluation. The purpose of this study was to clarify the stability of voxel values in CBCT. Cylindrical phantoms composed of the same material were set at the median anterior region and left and right first molar regions of an ac...... hiện toàn bộ

This study was for comparing the accuracy of processed digital images (reverse-contrast and colorization) with that of unprocessed digital images in detection of external root resorption (ERR). Eighty single-rooted human teeth were selected for this study. Mild, moderate, and severe ERR were simulated on 20 teeth each, and 20 were left untreated. Digital images using the paralleling technique were...... hiện toàn bộ
Quantitative assessment of the maxillary sinusitis using computed tomography texture analysis: odontogenic vs non-odontogenic etiologyOral Radiology - Tập 38 Số 3 - Trang 315-324 - 2022
Ito, Kotaro, Kondo, Takumi, Andreu-Arasa, V. Carlota, Li, Baojun, Hirahara, Naohisa, Muraoka, Hirotaka, Sakai, Osamu, Kaneda, Takashi
The purpose of this study was to investigate computed tomography (CT) texture features of mucosal thickening of maxillary sinus mucosa to differentiate odontogenic maxillary sinusitis (OMS) from non-odontogenic maxillary sinusitis (NOMS). Eighteen OMS patients and age- and gender-matched 18 NOMS patients who underwent sinus CT were retrospectively reviewed. OMS patients were identified by histopat...... hiện toàn bộ
