Production of Polycrystalline Materials by Sintering of Nanodispersed Diamond Nanopowders at High Pressure. Review
Journal of Superhard Materials - Tập 40 - Trang 325-334 - 2018
O. O. Bochechka
The investigations dealing with the problems of forming polycrystalline materials with a high level of physical-and-mechanical properties using the method of diamond powder sintering at high pressure have been considered. The compacting mechanism of diamond nanopowders of different genesis under exposure to high pressure and high temperature is described, special features of pore structure formati...... hiện toàn bộ

The Friction Coefficient of Natural Diamond Against Materials Based on Cubic Boron Nitride
Journal of Superhard Materials - Tập 41 - Trang 281-282 - 2019
A. A. Adamovskyi, A. D. Kostenko
It is demonstrated that in friction of a diamond pyramid against specimens of BN-based superhard materials the phase composition of the materials in contact has a dominant effect on the friction coefficient.
Impact fragmentation of sapphire
Journal of Superhard Materials - Tập 37 - Trang 140-142 - 2015
P. V. Konevskii, R. E. Brodskii, L. A. Litvinov
Specimens of vacuum-annealed sapphire, toughened sapphire, and Gorilla glass have been subjected to impact fracture testing. The size of fragments of sapphire specimens is found to be 10 to 100 times that of glass specimens, with the impact energy being the same.

As a result of studying the mechanism of polishing the polymer optical materials with disperse systems composed of micro- and nanoparticles of polishing powders, it has established that the energy of sludge and wear particles during the resonant transfer of energy from the disperse phase particles of a polishing disperse system to a treated surface and backward is inversely proportional to the spe...... hiện toàn bộ
Assessment of wear resistance of a core drilling bit with Hybridite reinforcing inserts
Journal of Superhard Materials - Tập 37 - Trang 431-437 - 2016
M. V. Suprun, V. I. Kushch, A. P. Zakora, R. K. Bogdanov
The authors assess wear resistance of a core drilling bit with reinforcing rock-destruction inserts and study the influence of their arrangement on the bit working surface. An equation has been derived to determine the effective wear rate of the bit working surface depending on the method of its reinforcement with rock-destruction inserts. A mathematical model of changes in the drill bit profile h...... hiện toàn bộ

The paper addresses the kinetics of air oxidation of soot in the presence of copper and cobalt oxides which were added in the form of metal acetates or nitrates. The activity of oxides is assessed by the catalytic constants for only the catalytic reaction picked out from the overall process. The oxides derived from nitrates are more active, and the activity ratio between the copper and cobalt oxid...... hiện toàn bộ
Analytical determination of a number of particles per carat for diamond powders on the basis of an extrapolation-affine 3D grain model
Journal of Superhard Materials - Tập 34 - Trang 200-208 - 2012
G. A. Petasyuk, Yu. V. Sirota
A new method for analytical determination of a number of particles per carat for diamond powders has been elaborated which is based on an extrapolation-affine 3D grain model The paper provides some results of testing the method on synthetic diamond grinding powders. The mean value of relative error as obtained on eleven test powders was 1.34%, the maximum value being 3%.
