Quaternary Ti-B-C-N films have been deposited onto Si (100) substrates by dc magnetron sputtering of bi-component Ti/B4C target in an Ar/N2 gas mixture with different amounts of nitrogen in the mixture (from 0 to 50%). The X-ray diffraction, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, indentation, and scratch tests have been employed to characterize the films. The films have been found to have the nano-comp...... hiện toàn bộ
Thermodynamics of the interaction of a group of nanoparticles with a macrophaseJournal of Superhard Materials - Tập 30 - Trang 379-383 - 2009
A. F. Lisovskii
An expression describing the variation of the Gibbs potential for a system consisting of a group of nanoparticles and a macrophase has been derived. It has been shown that in this system there are diffusion flows of the substance from nanoparticles to the macrophase. The conditions have been defined, under which a nanoparticle or a group of nanoparticles can be in an equilibrium state and maintain...... hiện toàn bộ
Production of Polycrystalline Materials by Sintering of Nanodispersed Diamond Nanopowders at High Pressure. ReviewJournal of Superhard Materials - Tập 40 - Trang 325-334 - 2018
O. O. Bochechka
The investigations dealing with the problems of forming polycrystalline materials with a high level of physical-and-mechanical properties using the method of diamond powder sintering at high pressure have been considered. The compacting mechanism of diamond nanopowders of different genesis under exposure to high pressure and high temperature is described, special features of pore structure formati...... hiện toàn bộ
Adsorption properties of shungite in purification of water–alcohol solutionsJournal of Superhard Materials - - 2018

Shungite adsorption properties to remove higher alcohols and other impurities from water–alcohol solutions is studied by the methods of nitrogen adsorption, thermogravimetric analysis, wetting, temperature-programmed desorption mass spectrometry, and FTIR spectroscopy. Shungite is shown to be able to effectively sorb impurities from water-alcohol solutions to form fairly strong adsorption systems....... hiện toàn bộ
The nature of the ordering of atoms in a melt and the surface properties of simple eutectic systemsJournal of Superhard Materials - Tập 30 - Trang 241-254 - 2008

Using the models reconstructed from the experimental structure factor curves by the reverse Monte-Carlo and Voronoy-Delaunay methods the local atomic structures of the Sn-Ge, Ag-Ge, and Ni-C simple eutectic systems has been analyzed. It has been found that the nature of the atom ordering in melts is responsible not only for the melt bulk properties, but for its surface properties (surface tension,...... hiện toàn bộ
Impact fragmentation of sapphireJournal of Superhard Materials - Tập 37 - Trang 140-142 - 2015
P. V. Konevskii, R. E. Brodskii, L. A. Litvinov
Specimens of vacuum-annealed sapphire, toughened sapphire, and Gorilla glass have been subjected to impact fracture testing. The size of fragments of sapphire specimens is found to be 10 to 100 times that of glass specimens, with the impact energy being the same.
