Đánh giá các giả thuyết cho rằng khả năng sử dụng (instrumentality) cao, khả năng ứng phó thích ứng (adaptive coping) và áp lực công việc/gia đình thấp là những thành phần dự đoán sự tiến bộ trong quản lý của phụ nữ. Phân tích hồ sơ cho thấy hồ sơ quản lý được đặc trưng bởi khả năng sử dụng cao và tính quan hệ thấp, cùng với khả năng ứng phó công việc thích ứng cao. Ngược lại, hồ sơ không quản lý được đặc trưng bởi khả năng sử dụng thấp và tính quan hệ cao, cùng với khả năng ứng phó công việc thích ứng thấp và khả năng ứng phó không thích ứng cao. Một phân tích đường đi LISREL được sử dụng tạm thời để kiểm tra ảnh hưởng nguyên nhân của các đặc điểm bên trong (khả năng sử dụng và tính quan hệ), áp lực công việc/gia đình, và khả năng ứng phó đến sự tiến bộ trong quản lý của phụ nữ. Kết quả cho thấy yếu tố dự đoán mạnh nhất cho sự xuất hiện trong quản lý là yếu tố khả năng sử dụng, trong khi áp lực công việc/gia đình và phong cách ứng phó không có ảnh hưởng.
