Sử dụng danh sách tiết lộ của Cơ quan Y tế và Dược phẩm Đan Mạch, chúng tôi xác định các xung đột lợi ích của tác giả và so sánh chúng với các thông tin tiết lộ trong các hướng dẫn. Đối với mỗi hướng dẫn, chúng tôi đã trích xuất các đặc điểm phương pháp luận của quy trình phát triển hướng dẫn. Kết quả Chúng tôi đã bao gồm bốn mươi lăm hướng dẫn từ 14 hiệp hội chuyên ngành. Trong số 254 tác giả, có 135 người (53%) có xung đột lợi ích, tương ứng với 43 trong số 45 hướng dẫn (96%) có một hoặc nhiều tác giả có xung đột lợi ích. Chỉ có một trong số 45 hướng dẫn (2%) tiết lộ xung đột lợi ích của tác giả. Loại xung đột lợi ích phổ biến nhất (83 trong số 135) là làm tư vấn viên, thành viên hội đồng cố vấn hoặc nhân viên của công ty. Chỉ có 10 hướng dẫn (22%) mô tả phương pháp phát triển hướng dẫn, 27 (60%) sử dụng tài liệu tham khảo trong văn bản và 11 (24%) phân loại các loại chứng cứ. Kết luận Xung đột lợi ích là phổ biến, nhưng việc tiết lộ rất hiếm. Hầu hết các hướng dẫn không mô tả cách họ được phát triển và nhiều cái không mô tả chứng cứ hỗ trợ cho các khuyến nghị cụ thể. Các danh sách công khai về tiết lộ có thể hỗ trợ các cơ quan phát hành hướng dẫn trong việc đảm bảo rằng tất cả các xung đột đều được công khai.
