Để cải thiện việc kê đơn thuốc cho người cao tuổi, các bộ tiêu chí đã được giới thiệu từ nhiều quốc gia khác nhau. Trong khi các bộ tiêu chí hiện tại hữu ích đến một mức độ nào đó, nhưng không đáp ứng được nhu cầu ở một số quốc gia châu Âu. Tiêu chí sử dụng thuốc không phù hợp ở người cao tuổi Thổ Nhĩ Kỳ (TIME) được dự kiến nhằm đáp ứng nhu cầu này.

Phương pháp

Trong giai đoạn 1, các bộ tiêu chí dễ sử dụng: STOPP/START phiên bản 2 và tiêu chí CRIME đã được kết hợp. Các chuyên gia quốc gia bao gồm các bác sĩ lão khoa và không phải lão khoa đã được mời để xem xét và đưa ra ý kiến. Trong giai đoạn 2, một cuộc tổng quan tài liệu toàn diện đã được thực hiện và các sửa đổi, bổ sung dựa trên tài liệu tham khảo đã được thực hiện. Các bổ sung giải thích đã được thêm vào một số tiêu chí nhằm cải thiện việc ứng dụng trong thực tiễn. Trong giai đoạn 3, tất cả các thành viên nhóm làm việc đã xem xét các tiêu chí/giải thích và đồng ý về nội dung cuối cùng.
