Siderosis nông của hệ thần kinh trung ương là kết quả của hiện tượng xuất huyết mãn tính hoặc gián đoạn vào khoang dưới nhện, gây ra sự lắng đọng hemosiderin trong các lớp dưới màng mềm của não và tủy sống, dẫn đến tổn thương tế bào thần kinh. Bệnh nhân thường trình bày với các triệu chứng tiến triển và suy nhược, thường bao gồm mất phối hợp đi đứng tiểu não tại người lớn khởi phát chậm và suy giảm thính lực thần kinh tiếp nhận. Bất chấp việc tiến hành các cuộc điều tra rộng rãi, nguồn gốc của hiện tượng xuất huyết thường không rõ ràng. Nhờ vào khả năng chẩn đoán tốt của chụp cộng hưởng từ, các trường hợp không có triệu chứng của siderosis nông của hệ thần kinh trung ương đang ngày càng được phát hiện. Các trường hợp siderosis nông ngày càng được báo cáo nhiều hơn trong tài liệu. Chúng tôi trình bày ba trường hợp mới. Nguyên nhân, sinh bệnh học, đặc điểm lâm sàng và các lựa chọn điều trị của siderosis nông được tổng quan.
