AbstractA study of pyro‐ and tripoly‐phosphates, by heterometric (photometric study of suspensions), pH and conductometric methods, was made on a quantitative basis. From the curves obtained, the composition and properties of the salts and complexes, which exist in solution or in the solid state, were deduced. All three methods gave results that were in complete accordance with one another. However, the heterometric method showed the existence of a number of compounds, especially in the solid state, that were not identified by the other methods.
