Tóm tắt Giới thiệu Ngày càng có nhiều nỗ lực để tích hợp nghệ thuật và nhân văn vào giáo dục y khoa, đặc biệt là trong giáo dục y khoa bậc đại học (UME). Tuy nhiên, các nghiên cứu trước đây chủ yếu tập trung vào các khóa học và chương trình giảng dạy mà chưa phân tích chi tiết về môi trường hoặc cơ sở hạ tầng hỗ trợ các hoạt động này. Phương pháp Để đánh giá cơ hội cho sinh viên tham gia vào nghệ thuật và nhân văn trong quá trình học tập y khoa cũng như các nguồn lực của tổ chức hỗ trợ những cơ hội đó, chúng tôi đã phát triển Thang đo Chương trình Nghệ thuật và Nhân văn (HARPS): một thang điểm 18 với tám lĩnh vực phụ (Cơ sở hạ tầng, Cơ hội học thuật, Tham gia ngoại khoá, Cơ hội trải nghiệm, Sự tham gia của giảng viên, Hỗ trợ từ nhân viên, Nhóm sinh viên, và Học bổng). Thang điểm này đã được sử dụng để đánh giá 31 trường y khoa hàng đầu ở Hoa Kỳ theo bảng xếp hạng Nghiên cứu Trường Y của US News and World Report (USWNR) dựa trên thông tin công khai, có sẵn trực tuyến.
