Quản lý buồn nôn và nôn sau phẫu thuật

Mặc dù công nghệ và các tác nhân dược lý mới đã ra đời, buồn nôn và nôn sau phẫu thuật (PONV) hiện vẫn có tỷ lệ mắc từ 20 đến 30%. Sự phát triển của PONV có thể dẫn đến những biến chứng nghiêm trọng như hít phải, mất nước, rối loạn điện giải và gián đoạn vị trí phẫu thuật. PONV dẫn đến tăng chi phí điều trị, và có thể liên quan đến sự gia tăng lo âu, sự không hài lòng với trải nghiệm phẫu thuật và sự lo âu trước phẫu thuật trong tương lai. Các cơ chế của PONV đã được xem xét cùng với các yếu tố nguy cơ liên quan. Một đánh giá tài liệu về quản lý PONV được đưa vào bao gồm các can thiệp dược lý, chế độ ăn uống và hành vi; culminate in the development of assessment and management guidelines and identification of areas for further study.
