Tóm tắt

Quite a significant proportion of young and not‐so‐young managers today feel that spending a year in full‐time management education is a worthwhile investment. One of the most popular courses is that leading to the Diploma in Management Studies (DMS). The research study reported here was concerned with finding out something about the usefulness of such a course and its relevance for different types of people. One year's full‐time DMS course at a London polytechnic was involved. The general aims of the research were to investigate the benefits of the course as perceived by the students, and to see if any student pattern emerged amongst those who seemed to profit from their year.
