Tóm tắtBa phương pháp, FLOTAC, FECPAK và McMaster đã được so sánh về độ chính xác và độ nhạy trong việc đếm số lượng trứng giun trong phân của gia súc bị nhiễm tự nhiên với số lượng trứng giun cao hoặc thấp. Chỉ có FLOTAC cho kết quả dương tính cho 12 lần lặp lại từ các mẫu gộp có số lượng trứng thấp, cho thấy nó nhạy hơn so với FECPAK (67%) và McMaster (41,7%). FLOTAC mang lại số lượng trứng cao hơn và hệ số biến thiên thấp hơn so với hai phương pháp còn lại. Độ tin cậy của FECPAK và McMaster phụ thuộc vào diện tích dưới kính hiển vi được đếm. Cả ba phương pháp đều có thể được sử dụng để ra quyết định có nên điều trị hay không, nhưng FLOTAC hoặc Mini-FLOTAC nên được sử dụng cho các phép thử giảm số lượng trứng trong phân khi số lượng trứng có mặt thấp.
