Tóm tắt

This work shows that modern H2S-contaminated basins permanently concentrate P, Mn, and Fe. The oxidation of H2S-contaminated waters can result in the deposition of phosphate–siliceous and ferromanganese sediments. Such associations of ore-bearing rocks are widespread in ancient sequences of the Earth's sedimentary cover.
