Tóm tắt

The education service of the United Kingdom is famous, or perhaps infamous, for its lack of national educational planning. For many years the further education service has been seeking a Further Education Council having the resources which the National Advisory Council on Education for Industry and Commerce has never had — namely to plan our future sensibly and professionally. The recent proposals of the Department of Education and Science (DES) regarding the setting up of the Technician Education Council (TEC) appear merely to play with the vast problems involved. It is seriously suggested that TEC should have a full‐time staff of one or perhaps two, and the that City and Guilds of London Institute (CGLI) can do the rest!
