Tóm tắt

Trypanosoma equiperdumwas found to take up glucose, mannose, fructose and glycerol but not galactose. Data with inhibitors suggested that the absorption of these compounds occurred by mediated processes. The inhibitory activity of various compounds indicated that three separate sites were involved in transport, two for glycerol and one for the hexoses.
