Shielding effectiveness of vent holes-TLM modeling validation

Tóm tắt
The use of modelling software for electromagnetic interference (EMI) evaluation allows for a significant advantage in design. Software modeling tools come in a variety of computational methods, with one of these options being the transmission line matrix (TLM) method A formal validation of this method is performed by comparing simulation results to the empirical data of a vented enclosure. This validation allows evaluation of the cavity-mode resonances of the enclosure, as well as the shielding effectiveness of the enclosure vent holes. From this validation and further simulation data, data can be presented on the shielding characteristics of vent hole designs.
