High xenon polarization should permit the observation of intermolecular scalar (J) couplings between xenon and molecules in solution. The SPINOE could also be significantly increased for dissolved molecules by using liquid or supercritical laser‐polarized xenon as the solvent.

For β‐cyclodextrin in which the pocket diameter is 37% larger cross‐relaxation rates are about 100 times smaller.
