3Anthony Scott: received B.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of New England (Australia) where he used both theory and experiment to study the structures and stabilities of nitrenium ions. He joined Leo Radom's computational quantum chemistry group at the Australian National University in 1991. His current research focusses on the properties of reactive intermediates.

5Ming Wah (Richard) Wong: received a Ph.D. from the Australian National University (ANU)in 1988, held postdoctoral positions at IBM, Yale University, and ANU, and is currently an Australian Research Fellow at the University of Queensland. His interests include mechanistic organic chemistry, reactive intermediates, gas-phase ion chemistry, and solvent effects in organic chemistry.
6Leo Radom: completed B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees at the University of Sydney. After spending 1969–72 at Carnegie-Mellon University, he joined the Research School of Chemistry of the Australian National University, where he is currently a Professor. His main research interest is the application of ab initio molecular orbital theory to chemical problems, and he has published extensively in this area. He has been elected to the Australian Academy of Science and the International Academy of Quantum Molecular Science.
