Đại dịch COVID-19 đã gây thiệt hại nghiêm trọng cho ngành du lịch toàn cầu. Tuy nhiên, vẫn có hy vọng rằng ngành này sẽ phục hồi trong tương lai gần. Nghiên cứu này tìm hiểu cách mà đại dịch đã ảnh hưởng đến ý định du lịch của mọi người và cung cấp những gợi ý để thúc đẩy sự phục hồi của ngành. Phân tích PLS-SEM trên 382 mẫu khẳng định tác động đáng kể của nhận thức rủi ro COVID-19 đến ý định du lịch, đồng thời làm nổi bật vai trò trung gian của hiệu quả cảm nhận của các biện pháp bảo vệ COVID-19. Nghiên cứu cũng kết luận rằng có sự khác biệt đáng kể trong mối quan hệ giữa hiệu quả cảm nhận của các biện pháp bảo vệ và ý định du lịch dựa trên sở thích về chỗ ở.
