Chúng tôi đã báo cáo trước đây rằng hormone kích thích nang trứng (FSH) điều chế tế bào gốc buồng trứng, bao gồm tế bào gốc phân lập đa năng rất nhỏ (VSELs) và các thế hệ con ngay lập tức được gọi là tế bào gốc sinh dục buồng trứng (OGSCs), nằm trong biểu mô bề mặt buồng trứng của động vật có vú trưởng thành (OSE). FSH có thể tác động đa diện thông qua các dạng biến thể thụ thể cắt ghép thay thế. Có bốn dạng thụ thể FSH (FSHR) được báo cáo trong tài liệu, trong đó FSH-R1 và FSH-R3 có hoạt tính sinh học. Nghiên cứu hiện tại được thực hiện để xác định các dạng FSHR trung gian tác động của FSH lên tế bào gốc buồng trứng, sử dụng mô hình nghiên cứu là nuôi cấy tế bào OSE của cừu.
