Mục tiêu của chúng tôi là xác định xem quercetin có khả năng cải thiện rối loạn nhịp sinh học và chuyển hóa dưới điều kiện thiếu vitamin D hay không. Chuột trung niên được chia ngẫu nhiên thành bốn nhóm, gồm nhóm chứng (CON), nhóm chế độ ăn thiếu vitamin D (VDD), nhóm quercetin (Q), và nhóm can thiệp quercetin trong chế độ ăn thiếu vitamin D (VDQ), với tổng thời gian can thiệp là 12 tuần. Chuột được hiến xác ở thời điểm zeitgeber time1 (ZT1) và ZT13. Tại ZT1, sự biểu hiện protein CLOCK từ các nhóm VDD, Q, và VDQ; CRY1 từ nhóm Q; và CRY2 từ nhóm VDD đều thấp hơn đáng kể so với nhóm CON. Sự biểu hiện mRNA của Sirt1, Bmal1, Clock, Cry1, và Cry2 trong các nhóm VDQ, cũng như Bmal1, Clock, và Cry1 từ nhóm Q, đã giảm đáng kể so với nhóm CON.
