Tóm tắtChitosan là một trong những polyme sinh học quan trọng và được chiết xuất từ bộ xương ngoài của động vật giáp xác trong chất thải hải sản. Đây là một chất ức chế ăn mòn thép cacbon thân thiện với môi trường trong môi trường axit; độ deacetyl hóa của chitosan được chuẩn bị trên 85,16%, và trọng lượng phân tử trung bình là 109 kDa. Chitosan được biến đổi thành muối clorua amoni 2-N,N-diethylbenzene N-oxoethyl chitosan (hợp chất I), và chuỗi 12-clorua amoni N-oxododecan chitosan (hợp chất II) là các dẫn xuất hòa tan trong nước. Hiệu suất ức chế ăn mòn đối với thép cacbon của hợp chất (I) trong 1 M HCl ở các nhiệt độ khác nhau là cao hơn so với chitosan và hợp chất (II). Tuy nhiên, hoạt tính kháng khuẩn của chitosan đối với Enterococcus faecalis, Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, và Candida albicans cao hơn so với các dẫn xuất của nó, và nồng độ ức chế tối thiểu và nồng độ vi khuẩn tối thiểu của chitosan và các dẫn xuất của nó được thực hiện với cùng một chủng.
